Ate at Soigne in early April to scout out location for a VIP event. Food good service ok. I order some turkey sliders to go with a modification just make them plain. Dropped off food and it wasn't what I ordered. I called back and they told me they'd replace it at my next visit. Chalked it up to it being a new restaurant and thought to give them a second chance.
Went back a few weeks later to get replacement takeout order and since I made the nearly 30 minute drive back, I ordered several other items. My experience this visit let me know that this would be my last visit to this restaurant.
I pulled in and there was a car parked on the right side next to the patio. I pulled behind it since I was getting a togo order. I called the restaurant and specifically asked if I could park where I was for take out. The young lady put me on hold to ask her supervisor and returned telling me I could park there. I came in, placed my replacement order and added several extra items. I was charged nearly $25 mandatory gratuity after I returned because Soigne messed up. I challenged the charge and they young lady told me she didn't do anything wrong and she should be paid. This was a moral issue that I didn't agree with as I would not have been there if Soigne had messed up on my initial order. I never said I wouldn't tip her, it was just a principled issue.
While waiting for my order, a man approached me and said I just got him in trouble because his boss (the owner) said I needed to move my car. I told him I'd asked for permission to park where I was and I approached the owner to address this directly and show him I'd asked for permission. The owner said someone probably gave me the wrong info and instructed the valet to move my car several feet away from where it currently was. While I was giving my key to the valet, a young man came out and said my order was ready. I walked back in and he proceeds to make a grandiose statement by placing the receipt on the counter in dramatic fashion telling the young lady who helped me to check everything I ordered to make sure it was right before I leave. This should have been checked before the food left the kitchen as to not have the food lose temperature and have it open in a food appropriate area as the bar tenders are dealing with credit cards, money and drinks from other patrons. He left and returned and said that the only thing that was missing from my order was the broccolini. That was not the case because we had already accounted for it so he returned to the kitchen with the second broccolini that he brought out. BUT, the same item they messed up on last time was messed up AGAIN even though the instructions were rang in correctly. Just plain turkey sliders that's all nothing more, nothing less. The bartender returned to the kitchen and now all of my food is losing temperature even after the shade that the food runner had thrown as he acted as if he was so concerned with my order. 15 minutes later I had my complete order and left.
I called the owner back on the phone. This day he was wearing a blue shirt and backpack light skinned guy bald head with a distinct voice. He remembered our conversation about the take out parking. He said that there was nothing he could do since I had already left. I asked him if I should turn around and his tune changed to say there was nothing he could do. I told him id never return.
If Soigne can't handle a $150 order and rectify their mistake, how can they handle a private event or buyout worth tens of thousands of dollars. We'll take our business elsewhere. Customer service is everything Soigne. Food cold, experience bad and good service starts at the top. Do better. Best of...
Read moreIf I could give this place 0 stars I would. My girls and I went to this establishment last night for food & drinks. Valet parking charges $40 in the parking garage next door on a Saturday night. We were told by the hostess the wait time would be about an hour and 30 minutes to get a table. We went up to the bar upstairs to get drinks and there were a few cute areas to take pics to pass the time. We eventually made our way back downstairs , and waited about 30 minutes before a table on the first floor became available. We waited for almost an hour, not one waistress came over to ask us if we wanted to put a order of food in or offer any hookah services. Four different waistresses walked by us throughout the night and one of my friends tried to get one of their attention to swing by our table when she could. She looked annoyed my friend stopped her and rolled her eyes. We told her nevermind because we didn't want to deal with the unnecessary attitude, and tried to wait for someone new to walk by. Mind you at two different tables next to us during this whole entire time we were waiting were groups of men. As soon as the men were at the tables they were greeted by a waitress, water was brought out to them, and they were already starting to receive some sort of service and putting orders in. Again, these were 2 different tables at different times with male customers, no women were with them. Once we saw this, we told a hostess what was going she said she would send somone over...no one ever came. It took one of the bus boys complaining to him for him to apologize for the service we were experiencing, and stated he would let the manager know what happend so they could come out and speak to us. Of course you already know the manager never showed their face. At this point we were over our evening, and ready to go. This establishment is all about their male customers. Unless your group rsvped or got a section in advance instead of walking in, LADIES BEWARE, the service is trash. The only good thing about this place was the dj. Its sad that this is supposed to be a black owned place, and to treat their female customers as if they hold no value to a male customer is despicable. We will never return...
Read moreFirst and last time here. My friend and I were the first ones to arrive so we waited at the bar for the rest of our party. My friend ordered a mojito but they were out of rum. The bar tender suggested tequila in the mojito. That small drink was $12. I was charged $5 for a small, mostly flat fountain soda water. After being seated it took forever for a waitress to take our drink order (we had to ask the hostess if we could get service) and by that time, we were ready to order food. The table was too small and too low for the booth size and just really awkward for eating. I can understand if it were much later and there was dancing, but the music was way way too loud for dinner time; we had to yell across the table and even then I couldn't hear some of what my friends were saying. I ordered a large chef salad with no meat and none of the vegetables in the salad were fresh and some bites tasted really off. I was charged $14 for that and an extra $1 for the ranch that came in mini plastic continers. All of the utensils were plastic too, which would be fine except we're being charged for first rate service and quality but getting substandard service and quality. I also ordered $8 mashed potatoes, which were mediocre at best. We all ordered bottled water (which was the 12oz. or 16 oz. size) and charged $5 each. Yes, I ate all my food because I only had a smoothie that day prior to dinner and I'm not a fan of wasting food. The check came and none of our food items were separated by guest and we were only allowed to do two forms of payment. One of the guests in our party also wanted to order food to go for her husband and there was some rediculous road block with that, so she opted out of the to go order. And to top it off I noticed a few waitresses sitting next to us on their phones and talking to each other. I know that everyone needs to take breaks (if that's what they were doing), but if that's the case just seemed very unprofessional to do it outside of a designated employee break area among all the guests. I also heard one of the waitresses gossiping (not quietly) about a "baby mama". I'm not sure if this was about a guest, employee, etc . but again, very unprofessional. So no, I will...
