Super disappointed in my experience. We made reservations weeks in advance and I was really looking forward to celebrating my birthday here. We ordered 3 appetizers and 3 meals. Everything was good except for my meal. It was had no taste whatsoever and was inedible. I was extremely disappointed as I had taken the waiter’s suggestion and said the dish was spicy and often too spicy for some. I said that’s perfect as I love dishes with a touch of spice. I asked the waiter for a different dish since this one simply had no taste whatsoever and tasted “off”. I asked the others at my table to try it to see if it was just me and they all agreed something was wrong with the dish. I was then insulted by the waiter bringing me a bowl of spices and said the manager/owner said for me to add it myself and wouldn’t replace it. Of course I asked to speak to a manager who took his time coming out about 15 minutes later and kept after going on and on about that their policy and he still refused to replace my dish. My family finished their meal but me, the birthday girl, had no entree. We then asked for the check and explained we would never be back and then the waiter said the owner agreed to remake the dish. An hour later and it was too late as we were all furious and ready to leave. I ended up getting some fast food on the way home. Extremely disappointed as I drove an hour there and had been looking forward to this experience for weeks. I had dined here before but was completely disappointed with the flavorless dish and tried management/owner! No sir, Ethiopians do not cook like this as you tried to put it all on me and my tastebuds. My whole family was in agreement and I’ve eaten this type of food before. Thanks for ruining my birthday celebration…….. Again in response to your reply..you continue to say that it was not spicy enough for me— my whole point is it had zero spice and was flavorless. I know when something has flavor and does not! This is not about it being too spicy or not. It was flavorless period! Restaurants and cooks make mistakes all the time. You are acting like your chef is beyond making mistakes. I was one of the first people there that day perhaps he/she forgot to add spices or didn’t have time to marinate the meat so that it tasted properly. Yes, I didn’t want you to remake the dish!!! You are correct! Why would I risk having the same experience? I asked you to replace it with something else in an attempt to have a meal that I could enjoy on my birthday. Yes, you gave me 50% off but I sent it back to the kitchen so I paid for something that I didn’t eat. The right thing to do would have been to simply have given me another dish and understood my point that something was off with my dish. That doesn’t mean that everyone had the same experience with that dish but I certainly did and I was not valued...
Read moreI have heard amazing things about this restaurant and finally got the chance to try it on Saturday, 8.26.23
Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience with the hostess. We had a reservation for 5 people, but we ended up having 6. I know it would have been best to call in advance to explain this change, but the person in charge of the reservation ended up forgetting to do so. Upon our arrival, the hostess acted like adding 1 more person completely put her out. She stared at us and looked as if she expected us to leave and go somewhere else. As customers planning to spend good money at this locale, I couldn't believe the cold and unhelpful attitude we received over one small change. Rearranging tables and reservations is a fact of life in the restaurant business, yet she did not show us any grace or hospitality.
After several awkward seconds of her staring at us, when she realized we still wanted to stay for our celebration rather than leave and go somewhere else, she reluctantly said she would figure something out. We then had to wait an hour for a table. The wait was not really an issue, but after facing such cold service from the hostess, we questioned if it was a punishment. We ended up being seated at a booth for 5 and put one chair on the end. We fit just fine.
It was some time before our waitress came to the table to greet us. Service was a bit slow throughout the night but very friendly. I think if we had had a better experience at the front desk, we wouldn't have even noticed this small delay.
I was surprised not to see any type of management during the entire visit. We stayed 3 hours, including the hour wait to be seated. It would have been nice to have someone check on us and see how our visit was going and to be able to express our experience with the front desk. In the hospitality business, it is pertinent to actually have hospitality. Again, our server was lovely, but the hostess was the first impression we had, and this one unfortunately left a sour taste in our mouth.
The food was good, although I was surprised at being served such a small portion of sea bass for $48. Comparable restaurants serve more for the same price. That said, the other guests seemed to really enjoy their entrees, and our server brought us a complimentary dessert since we were celebrating our friends' graduation, which was a nice touch. My cocktail, the Morrocan Sunset, was delicious and a highlight of my visit.
I would give this place another try as it seemed that maybe this was just an off night as far as service goes, and I would try to forget the unkind attitude we all experienced from the front desk, because overall the ambiance is quite nice and the place is beautiful. Just wish we had been treated a bit better for our...

First let me start with parking. It isn't too far from the restaurant but it is in a parking garage. After parking there you will go left towards the end of the building in front of you...and the down 3 small flights of stairs...the restaurant is at the bottom to your right. Bring your ticket...it will be validated by the host.
We were promptly greeted by staff who opened the door for us when we arrive. The host let us know that we could wait by the bar or in another wedding area near the front. We had reservations, however, we waited for a considerable time until we were seated. We waited for about 30 to 45 minutes before we were seated, which was unfortunate because most places that I go to when you have reservations you are seated promptly or a few minutes after arrival.
After we were seated we were greeted by our server who was great. She was able to lead us through the menu and hear things that we were possibly thinking about choosing or selecting and she was able to give us ample feedback on the different dishes that were available there. We chose this specific restaurant because we wanted to try something different in the area and we really liked that this restaurant's menu features various dishes from across the world. So there is plenty to choose from.
We started our evening off with street corn, a Cuban sandwich that was crafted into an egg roll, can my spouse had the lamb tibs and I had the fried lobster dish. We both also ordered the creme brulee which was delicious. I love the Cuban egg roll so much that I had to take an order home. Overall, this restaurant is fantastic. The ambience is great as well.
I know that the dress code said smart casual, however I did feel a little underdressed. We did go on Halloween Eve weekend which was great and saw a few people that were dressed up as well in their costumes. However, most of the time when I dine in Atlanta, I noticed that people aren't really dressed up. But if you are looking for a place to dress up and get all fancy this definitely would be the restaurant to do that.
We both enjoyed our dining service and the restaurant overall and will be back. We came to celebrate both of our birthdays and really had a good time.
Also another great thing about this restaurant is the cost of dining wasn't that bad. Everything was reasonably priced and...
