I've been going to this Wendy's since 2000, some 16 years. I feel competent to review this establishment based on my many visits. I have had, both, good and bad experiences at this location.
As far back as I can remember, the majority of the staff have been younger African American women with an occasional African American man toiling behind the scenes. I can't help thinking mixing up the racial makeup by include Asian, Latinos and others, along with more men, would give the current staff a dose of "foot up the ass" which is sorely needed.
What does this location in is management. From the GM whom you will seen scurrying around the facility but doing nothing with customers to the the Shift managers who give you that "Orange is the New Black" feeling on every visit.
And then there is front of house customer service training...so M.I.A. is this training it's comical but also frustrating. Prepare yourself to assist your cash register gal in every aspect of your order. Explaining what comes with a #2, watching as she leaves you and disappears behind the line them reappears after an uncomfortable pregnant pause (this may happen more than once) to her not knowing what the salad dressings are.
And the drug dealers...
The young twenty something street runner crew who hang out in front of the building next door; and use this location as their office, meeting and conference room, interview facility, break room and personal executive restroom are endless.
I've never been in this location during lunch, late lunch, early dinner, dinner or late dinner and not watched the local drug dealers holding court in the front window seating area, using the men's room, chatting with the counter girls and more.
Once I watched a dealer cut in front of everyone to get a meal and a drink he didn't pay for. I discussed this with the shift manager, by phone, she assured me he had pre-paid his meal (ROTFLMAO, didn't believe a word she said).
Moreover, even with a off duty police officer in attendance, at night, you should never get too comfortable in this spot.
The long and the short of this Wendy's is simple. If you have a Wendy's anywhere in Atlanta you can go...
Read moreThis place really needs to be shut down! I know it's next to projects and I'm sure those people are the only ones that come and apply for a job. But, good heavens at least hire the competent ones. I just went through the drive-thur and placed my very easy order. A #1 with NO CHEESE and a Sweet Tea to drink. (I spoke it very clearly). Three times she asked me what I wanted to drink. SWEET TEA!!! Ugh!! Before I pulled around I asked, make sure the #1 is NO CHEESE, Right?? She replied, Yeah, it is! (Lol). I drive around give her my card. (She just looks like one of those black girls, that wants to cut you just for looking at her). I ask her again, please make sure there is NO CHEESE on my sandwich. She said, Naw,I didn't ring it up with cheese. (With black girl attitude). Stupid me didn't check my order when she handed it to me. I drive home, sit down and open it up. And yes, there is cheese on it. I'm so pissed right now. I'm so hungry! I will never ever ever go back to this Wendy's!!! Hey General Manager of this Wendy's at Boulevard and Ponce de Leon. Be a little more selective when hiring these people!!! There has got to be some that really want to work and have a positive attitude. Remember, their nasty attitude leaves a lasting impression with customers! Why would I want to spend my money at a place like this? One other thing, you might want to hire security to stop the drug dealers from selling drugs in your parking lot!!! Just...
Read moreThis was the worst experience I have ever had with an employee. I asked if I could use a coupon off the app for a certain item. She said you only get what the coupon says. I said ok. She then added, I don't make the rules. I said that's fine. Tried to continue to order and she said you don't have to have an attitude about it. I said I don't, I simply asked you a question. She then said something else snarky under her breath. I said excuse me? I don't have to give you my business, I can go somewhere else. She said fine go, Get out. I asked to see her manager. She called the manager, who was by the fryer. She stood there and looked at her until I said that I wanted to talk to her. When she finally came over, I said this cashier is rude and obnoxious. She turned to her and said what did i tell you about that? She said and I told you I want taking anything from anybody. The manager turns, tells her to come on and proceeds to walk to the back. Didn't say a word to me and there were no other employees to come take care of me. They're back there for a few minutes, then a nice older gentleman came out and said how can I help you sir? I'll take your order. ms. jade was the cashier and she had been rude to the 2 customers that she waited on before me. She was back on the register after the gentleman took my order and 2 others....
