Chang He Chinese Kitchen — Restaurant in Atlantic City

The food is SUPER FRESH!! I ordered one of my favorite dishes, Shrimp Chow Mei Fun, and I swear out of all of the places in and around the city that I've ordered this dish from, Chang He has the freshest version. I never seen noodles so white and veggies so bright and colorful. I almost didn't want to eat it! It also tasted as good and it looked.

A week later I ordered Fried chicken and fried rice...again, the food was sooo fresh! There are many Chinese food places in and around the city that will recook food that may have been ordered but not picked up. Not this place. The chicken wasn't extra greasy and the rice was so fresh it didn't even clump up. I had to really pull out my chopstick skills to eat it. Lol

The people there are very helpful and polite. And will help you get the best price together for special or specific orders.

I used to eat from here in early 2000s but it had been well over a decade since that I had their food. I was not disappointed.

The only drawbacks are that Chang He doesn't deliver and they only accept cash. that's not enough for me to give them less than a 5-star rating. Maybe they should setup...

I almost ran out of hope of ever finding good restaurants in Atlantic City that won't break my bank, so I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem. As many reviews have claimed, do not get turned off by the facade. The restaurant only has one table and two chairs inside, but during my visit there were streams of locals ordering take outs.

Firstly, the fried chicken gizzards were out of this world. They're well seasoned and crunchy, with generous portion for appetizer. I also ordered the meal, which comes with one carb option and three small entree options. I found the pork fried rice to be oily, so I stuck with steamed rice. For entrees, I would recommend pork rib tips, fried chicken wings, and teriyaki chicken skewers. The beef and broccoli was okay, I found the broccoli to have been overcooked to death, but taste may vary.

Don't let the exterior stop you from visiting this place; it's truly a hidden gem. Please note that they only accept cash, although there is an ATM on-site, which I wouldn't recommend using based on other reviews.

The food we received was outstanding considering the price, and their customer service was excellent. We ordered four takeout meals inside and received our food in about 10 minutes. When we returned to our hotel, the meals were still warm, likely due to the cold weather outside.

I ordered chicken and broccoli, which tasted just like the dishes you would expect from any family-owned Chinese restaurant. There was a generous portion of rice (possibly because I asked for extra), and the chicken-to-broccoli ratio was also quite good.

There are only three seats and one table, so I recommend this place for take-out. I recommend...
