I seriously don't know what happened to this place, but our experience from yesterday for sure doesn't make us come back. I made a reservation for my husband's birthday over " reserve a table," and not once was there mentioned that the main dining room was closed and an ugly black monster " trash bag " was covering the entrance. The website even asks if celebrating something, which I answered with yes. Yes, the main website states the closing, but you never see that when you make the reservation. Seeing that , we were already a bit disappointed because it was my husband's birthday but didn't affect us to the point of not going. But from there, it just went downhill. If you are talking about a waitress who should not be one, we had her. When she came for the order, she gave me the impression we were disturbing her. Twice, she wanted to rush away. She did not ask if we wanted something to drink, I had to call her back, my husband again had to ask for the drink menu which she never brought. We had to ask someone else . Then my food came , not the APPETIZERS we ordered. So I ask for it. After a confusing look, I got the " buns" slapped on the table. Now I have the appetizers and my food at the same time , one getting cold but still nothing to drink. So I asked the waitress , which was like a wisel on two other tables, if I could have my Pepsi before I finished with my food. She didn't acknowledge me at all, but came 3 min later and slammed my Pepsi on the table. My husband's food came " not." wrong dish. Now suddenly, after not one friendly word , she wanna come and say, "Oh, I pressed the wrong button." Yes , now I am mad. You totally destroyed my husband's birthday dinner, and yes, I told her , "I don't want to talk to you , I want a manager. Another waste of time. A nice suit doesn't make or give you manager skills. He comes, never introduced himself ( he was more concerned about fixing his mask), and I am not even sure he heard what we had to say. No trying to rectify the situation, just a stare and no comment. That was it. We got up and left. And for the people who want to take out, watch they will change you now 3$ per entree for the bowls of an already expensive noodles dish , the one you throw away when finished eating. What the hell is going on, nickle and dime you to death. If you think that's the way to keep customers, you are mistaken . We visited your establishment for the past 2 years, but yesterday was the last time. If you actually would read the comments and would regonize there is a pattern, and you would change something, maybe you would keep...
Read moreMy friend and I went to the Hard Rock Casino and decided to go to this Noodle Bar to eat. We didn't know they didn't start serving until 4:00 pm. and we arrived around 2:45 pm. While we waited standing outside the restaurant until opening I noticed those with reservation were allowed to enter and sit until it was officially opened. My friend and I were the second ones waiting to enter at 4:00 pm and soon others began to come who didn't have reservations. What I found appalling was once we were allowed in it took 15 minutes before they brought us glasses of water and after that no one came to take our order. We both waited patiently for someone to come and take our orders. What I noticed that those on the line behind us were eating already and we hadn't even had the opportunity to order. I decided to go and get a waiter and when I did the waitress said "one second" and she never returned. Again, I got up to find someone to take our orders and finally it took a sister working there to come and take our orders. Since we came on a bus trip our bus was scheduled to pick us up at 4:50 pm. We then requested our food be wrapped because we couldn't sit and enjoy it like the others because we were not acknowledged as patrons. I feel this was race related because we were of color and the others guest were not as I noticed. I guess our money wasn't the same color or credit cards perhaps not excepted. I haven't been to Atlantic City for nearly 25 years and look forward to the trip. As a retiree from NYPD I have never been treated as a paying customer in this manner. One young man working there was standing close next to our table and I'm not sure what his job was but I noticed he kept watching my friend and I the entire time. I felt that while he was watching he should've noticed we were sitting there with two glasses of water only. We finally got our take out and had to rush to the transportation area for our bus. What I found funny is while they didn't notice us enough to take our orders they quickly gave us the bill for the take out. INCREDIBLE. It was terrible service and I will NEVER go there again no matter what there hours of operation are located inside the Hard Rock Casino. YOUYU Noodle Bar is...
Read moreProceed with caution. Had reservation for 4 and sat immediately. Waitress was friendly and took our order promptly. Appetizers came out relatively promptly (lettuce wraps and dumplings), which were delicious. And then it all went downhill from there. Two of the 4 meals came out and a side of rice. We were trying to be courteous and wait for the other 2 meals to come out. When we realized our food was getting cold, our friends told us to eat and not wait for them. After 10 minutes, we asked our waitress about the missing food. She went to check and came back 10 minutes later seemingly perplexed that the missing food did not come out. She then went back to kitchen and came back and told us "they are working on it now" (20 minutes later). Another 10-15 minutes passed and still no meals. After the 4th time asking the waitress, we finally asked for the manager. He came to our table like HE was the annoyed one and said he'd check on it. About 10 minutes later a young boy came and just laid it on the table (total time of waiting was almost an hour). Our friends told the young boy that, at this point, they were full from eating the rice, and why didn't the manager personally deliver the meals with some sort of explanation as to why they waited for almost an hour. The manager came back and told us the food was so late because different meals take longer than others (it was salt and pepper chicken with noodles!!). At that point, we told him how disappointed we were that he couldn't even come to our table and talk to us without an attitude. He ended up comping one drink, an appetizer, and one meal that we did get. Even after all that, the service declined after sitting down. We were never offered refills of any kind, we had to hunt our waitress down for a knife. On a good note though, the food was absolutely amazing (Walnut shrimp and curry chicken). Because the food was so good, I would like to try and chalk this situation up as a one and done... but the manager really...
