As a “Local” business that sells food, to use AI generated “art” instead of reaching out to local artists, photographers, designers etc is not only lazy but a slap in the face. Nothing on Connie’s menu is even sold looking close to this. Utter laziness. It’d be better off taking a picture of the actual food or actually doing the work not typing “fancy chicken and waffles” into chatgbt and posting these inaccurate and twisted pictures. Stop being lazy
Edit: Updating to respond to that lackluster response I was given by the owners, hun clearly those people hired for those images used for those image pics you have taken IN THE PAST are IN THE PAST. Why are being lazy now and using AI ? Lack of funds maybe? Go back out and find photographers and take pictures of these dishes. What sense would it make to even use AI photos for display of a FOOD BUSINESS. If folk already have issues with companies that go out of their way to falsify and stretch their images for advertisments, whats not clicking that using a literal random generated picture is very much WORSE. “Youre leaving a Malicious review” A food business using AI images for display and advertising IS malicious af. If I truly wanted to be malicious I would have already filed a lawsuit and business complaints, use your brains for once....
Read moreConnie’s Chicken and Waffles offers some seriously delicious food that will make you want to come back for more. I had the waffle and shrimp, and it was a fantastic combination—the shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the waffle was fluffy and delightful. Together, they created a mouthwatering dish that’s hard to beat!
However, I did encounter a bit of a hiccup with the service. It took a solid 35 minutes for my food to arrive, which felt like an eternity, especially when you can hear your stomach grumbling in anticipation. I noticed the lady before me was getting pretty impatient, and I think she even asked for a refund due to the wait.
While I understand that good food takes time, it would have been great to get a bit of communication or a heads-up about the delay. That said, once my food finally arrived, all was forgiven—because it was absolutely worth the wait. I’ll definitely be back, but I might bring a snack for the...
Read moreOk, so to be fair- I tried this place again out of a combination of curiosity & hunger. I'd had it a while back before, and while I liked the food & the service, I'm just not that much of a waffle person. That time, I had gotten the red velvet waffle. This time, I got the crunch berry flavor. My conclusion for both is the same: love that they are prepared to order. They come out piping hot, served with plenty of butter & syrup. My issue would be the flavor- it's just too mild for me, and not sweet enough. The waffle could definitely be punched up in the taste that's suggested by the flavor, which would only enhance the already awesome quality of the service and the food. The chicken is amazing, also served hot & made to order, and seasoned well. If the flavors in the waffles were just a tad stronger and bolder, it would put it over the top for me. Still a cool place. Definitely try it...
