For a first time experience I was very disappointed. I arrived to pick up my orders (2). There is a window where you can see into the kitchen area. I made eye contact with at least two employees neither which spoke or acknowledge that I was waiting. I waited for over 4 minutes for anyone to come out the back. The employee that came out however was very pleasant. She gave me 1 order. I inquired to where the second order was. The store had no information and had not received my order that was placed on their app. I waited about another 4-5 minutes while another employee checked the back for the order. No order. I showed her my receipt on their website and the pending charges on the card used for the purchases. Needless to say I didn't get my other order nor was I offered to place an order. I asked if my order could be made and was told, "you'll get a refund back," and that the same thing had happened to a customer earlier in the day. No food, no service recovery, and I have to wait for a refund. The salad I did get was good nothing out of the ordinary. However due to the lack of great customer service/ service recovery I will not...
Read moreWe went to McAlister’s in the hopes of grabbing a quick bite for lunch on our way to the Baltimore Aquarium. When we arrived, we ordered our meal and grabbed a booth. My friend went to use the restroom, and found it overflowing with toilet water; about an inch covered the entire ground in the women’s room. When my husband went to use the bathroom, he found it submerged in half an inch of water. We waited for forty minutes on our food before going to inquire about the status of our order. We were told it would be 15 more minutes until our food was ready, and it would be a 40 minute wait for new orders. We asked for a refund instead, as we had an infant with us who was getting tired. It took more than 15 minutes to get the refund. While they refunded most of the cost of the meal, they did not refund the tip, even though we never got any food. We were shocked to see that this spot had 4.7 stars on Google reviews, given that it was the worst restaurant experience any of us...
Read moreEdit: Soups are $6.89 before tax, and just not worth it. Watery, bland, and miniscule portions. Sammies still bang tho.
Sandwiches are good. Anything sold in a cup or a bowl is a scam, it’s only filled half way and cost more than $5.
They are nickleing and dimeing folks off product w ridiculous profit margins, and thatll keep me from being back. Also Ive never ordered a side here and been satisfied w the quality. Last visit, I ordered the red beans n rice in a bowl. I was served a cup that was half filled. Had them correct it to a bowl, and the difference is like a scoop of product vs a scoop and half of product...for $5. Do you realize popeyes serves better sides in bigger portions for the roughly the same price (for red beans n rice and mac n cheese specificallt)? Also a can of soup at the store is bigger and costs less than the soups yall are reheating from bags! I get that yall have to make a profit but be realistic about where you price...
