I’m not expert reviewer but here I go. I was looking for a bakery to have some coffee and probably some dezzert until I came across Zoe’s on my way home. I lift my head up and saw a simple yet intriguing sign by their door. I noticed the ambient was a bit different than a usual bakery/coffee shop so I stepped inside to order a coffee. (I’m sorry ma’am I forgot your name) greeted me courteously before I asked for a regular coffee. She seemed rather honest and happy so I stand by that vibe. As she was making the coffee, I looked through the options of dezzerts. I have to say. They looked intriguing but one stand out more than the rest: blackberry tres leches mini cake. The taste it was not overwhelming but it was definitely a bit more than I could bargain for (obviously I finished it). I can say that it is worth for 2 people so beware of your appetite. Also there is unlimited coffee? Yeah, I forgot to mention that but my body only holds 2 cups a day so I’m happy that I can have some extra coffee if I can’t finish my mini cake with one cup. I would suggest that, if it’s possible, to have mini bread such as Hawaiian rolls, croissants, challah (obviously with whichever twist the pastry chef desires) it would diversify the options in the sweets department. Also if smoothies are on the menu I’m ready for them. To finalize my thoughts on the whole Zoe’s experience, I have to say that it’s great that it’s a place where the seats are comfortable (really comfortable like I really wanted to take a nap there) and the view is comforting and relaxing, the ambient is nice and not full of noise, the music has variety and it’s workers seems serene about their day. Thank you for the wonderful time I spent at your location. And I’ll see you,...

I literally discovered this place as a one off on my way downtown One Sunday afternoon. Let’s talk about what we have here:
I ordered a couple of items and we’ll discuss the brownies and cupcakes for this review.
The peanut butter Reesie crumb Chocolate brownie was a scrumptious delight. Surprisingly, it wasn’t overpowering with sugar and was dense, but not oily.
The cupcake was chocolate by design. I wish there was a finishing essence for it such as espresso powder. I think that would have completed the overall taste profile fully. Nevertheless, it was well balanced with the chocolate ganache piping, adding the balance of moistness needed to complement the very cake-like presentation of the dessert.
Poorly constructed desserts only leave room for mask consumption, like store-bought cookies in a bag. These were filling, and satisfying.
The freshness of all of these products is a MAJOR stand-out. There is a full scale bakery operation just 20 feet from the display counters. That is a guarantee of food freshness that will allow Zoey’s to make quick adaptation for customer satisfaction in the future!

We ordered 3 things and they were all perfect. Not great. Perfect. The salted caramel mousse was a punch of flavor and ideal texture. It didn’t even cling to your mouth like some mousses (moussen? moussi?) do. Light and airy and flavorful and amazing. But what really impressed me was the brownie. I have a very high brownie standard and thus approach every brownie with healthy skepticism. But Zoe nailed this one. Fudgy interior, slightly flaky & crisp exterior. Heavily chocolatified, with some peanut butter cup chunks on top. And combining the mousse and the brownie was bomb.
The staff and Zoe were super friendly and helped create a lovely atmosphere. I’ll be back to try everything else...
