My wife and I are semi-regular visitors to Chili's and have always enjoyed our experiences there. However, during our lunch today, we were disappointed with the service. We were seated in a section with a server who only had two tables when we arrived, but despite this, we had a long period of no interaction after our initial order. We didn't speak to our server for a while, and someone other than our server ran our drinks, appetizers, and entrees. One of her two tables left shortly after we arrived. We heard our server talk to the only other table she had about how slow it was, but unfortunately, we didn't receive the attention we needed even when it was slow. We just finished our appetizers when we saw a couple get sat at a table next to us. However, they left without ordering as our server did not come out of the kitchen for so long. We got our entrées, again, ran by someone else. She finally walked out right when that table left and came to ask if we needed anything, just asked for BBQ sauce. Good amount of time passed again, to the point where we just needed a to-go box and the check, but we had to go and get the box ourselves as our server didn't check on us for a bit once again. When our server finally came back, (no sauce, didn’t need it anyway as we we’re done) she took our plates and just placed them on the table behind her for the host to pick up, we paid and left. My wife and I have worked in the food industry, we understand it can be slow at times, but we feel that our server had a bad sense of time all together and didn't prioritize her tables effectively. Just take a small stroll through your section, every 3 minutes maybe? If you’re in the kitchen long enough to get sat and have them leave after a decent amount of time waiting, you’re doing something wrong. Overall, we were disappointed with the service during this visit, and we hope that in the future, our server will be attentive to their customers even when it's not busy. Who knows when we’ll be back though. We did a survey on the tablet, but all I wrote was ‘slow server’, I didn’t want an awkward situation where she came out and saw me typing something out, but now thinking about it I guess I should have just typed more because I probably had another 10 minutes before she came out of the kitchen again. Side note, I think it’s time to train that one food runner who also hosts sometimes to be a server, he ran our food today, he’s been there for a while and is always nice and seems to care. Incase this gets read on a different date, our visit...
Read moreMy partner and I decided to visit Chili’s yesterday after a fun day of shopping around Bangor. We were sat pretty quickly upon entering, but there was no sign of our server for about 15 minutes after being sat (maybe a few minutes longer). After about 15 minutes, our young blonde woman server finally greets us and says she “has a lot to catch up on” and didn’t apologize for our wait at all. Most people would have ordered their food and drinks by now, and we are just now being talked to. She seemed to have a bit of an attitude and she made me feel like just being there and her having to serve us was an inconvenience. I understand that it can get busy and stressful sometimes as a server, but she could have spent the same amount of time with us and been kind and apologetic for our wait. Our food and drinks were brought by another server, a young man who was very nice. He was our server for the majority of our meal. Our young woman server seemed to have no trouble being kind and available for the bigger table next to us, probably expecting it to yield a better tip. Like I said, I’ve never been made to feel like an inconvenience more at a restaurant than I did here. The food also wasn’t great. I got the triple dipper and thought each item on my plate would be better than it was. The Nashville hot tenders were a highlight, but the sauce leaked onto the other two foods around it. The sauces all had the consistency of water and my mozzarella sticks were falling apart the whole time I was eating them. I don’t aim to get this young woman server in trouble with my review, hell, I don’t even know her name. I just hope maybe somebody who works here sees this review, knows who I’m talking about, and can maybe have a talking to with this person and ask them to re-approach the way they serve when it’s busy. I give this Chili’s 2 stars: 1 for the kind young man server and 1 for the Nashville hot chicken tenders. I would say I hope to return and be given better service and food, but I honestly don’t think there will be a next time. To that young blonde server, please do better and be kinder to your tables that don’t happen to have...

I recently dined at Chili's Bar & Grill in Bangor, Maine, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. From the moment I walked in, I encountered issues that dampened the entire visit.
To start with, the hostess seemed to have an attitude problem and made some rude comments during our interaction, which immediately set the wrong tone for our lunch.
The biggest issue I faced was with the dining room's temperature. It was unbearably cold, and despite raising the concern, there was no improvement throughout the meal, making it quite uncomfortable.
Next, I ordered the ribeye steak, and it was nothing short of horrendous. The texture was grisly and chewy, giving off the unmistakable impression of being microwaved. Not to mention, it lacked any semblance of seasoning or taste. Comparing it to shoe leather would be an insult to shoe leather, as it had practically no flavor whatsoever.
The sides were equally disappointing. The mashed potatoes tasted like they had been sitting for days, with a bitter, acrid taste and a pasty texture. The broccoli was spongy and utterly flavorless, adding nothing of value to the meal.
While the chicken crispers were somewhat passable, they were far from exceptional. Even among them, I found one with a spongy texture, which was rather off-putting.
The dipping sauce for the chicken crispers, the ranch, was diluted and had a watered-down consistency, which did not complement the dish well.
Overall, my visit to Chili's Bar & Grill in Bangor, Maine, was underwhelming and disappointing. The combination of rude hostess, an uncomfortably cold dining room, and poorly executed dishes made this a meal I'd rather forget. I hope the management addresses these issues to provide a better experience for...
