Thrive Juice Bar and Kitchen is connected to Coffee Matter off the main drag in Bar Harbor. I was excited to find gluten-free, Keto, vegan, and vegetarian options all in one stop. They have a very good selection of smoothies and juice, as well as the ability to make whatever a customer desired. They service breakfast sandwiches and warm breakfast quinoa bowls. For lunch they have salads, toasts, and wraps. They do serve lobster that offered as a lobster salad toast. Thrive has a good selection of baked goods including gluten-free and vegan options. I loved my vegan, gluten-free blueberry muffin. They also have a cooler with some cookies, bars, baked goods, kombucha, and water. Next to the coolers are chips, plant-based snacks, and pretzels. I LOVE smoothies. But not enough to spend $26 on one!!! I used the online order app to order a 20 oz smoothie at the Bar Harbor location. The problem is that as you add more ingredients, others are shifted to make room. I requested extra spinach and kale and hemp seeds and added in my comments that I would pay more if an additional 16 oz cup was needed to fit everything. Instead, I received one 20 oz cup for $23. I didn’t want banana but that didn’t reduce the cost. Plus not all ingredients were available. It didn’t include additional hemp seeds so I had to pile those into the cup for an additional cost. It didn’t make any sense. The people were trained to adjust other ingredients to make room for add ons. I tried to question it but what was done was done. What a Rip off!! I have been to Thrive Juice Bar & Kitchen multiple times, and every time I have gone I am greeted with exceptional customer service! Sarah always greets us with a smile, is always so friendly, and answers all questions from menu items to the best trails in Acadia National Park! This last time we had Gaisa as a cashier, and she was so friendly and displayed excellent customer service as well! Not only is the service top notch, but the menu is exceptional as well and have loved everything I’ve ordered. Their “Cherry Berry Glow,” has a choke hold on me and is the perfect post hike treat!
