Read moreMoldy. Bad quality control and bad food preservation. I go in and see waffles with whipped cream, uncovered and just sitting on the shelves. Individually wrapped lady fingers had spots of mold on them, making me wonder how long they’ve been there and if the workers ever check for dates and freshness. Pizza bread was un-refrigerated with mold growing on the cheese.
Aside from that, most of the cakes and pastries are sub-par. They all have way too much cream that overpowers the actual cake or bread, and there’s only a hint of whatever flavor it’s supposed to be.
I got a chocolate cake with a layer of strawberries and all I tasted was the strawberries. The cake had no chocolate flavor and the cream had no chocolate flavor.
Some of the savory foods are ok, but only when fresh. Many of the savory foods have a hint of sugar or glaze (I’ve seen this with a lot of Korean street food) which is fine, like their garlic bread with ham and cheese. It’s not bad but I would only get it in the morning, as they leave these breads out on the shelves.
I used to enjoy coming here for the variety and because Japanese bread is notoriously good. But I will go to another Asian mart going forward. This Tous les Jours is extremely overpriced for the...

Review: This used to be my favorite cake shop, but recent experiences have left me deeply disappointed. I found mold on the newly purchased cake, and with the hope of exchanging it, I approached the counter. However, the staff explained that it was just some dust from the cake-making process. As a cake enthusiast, I know what's normal and what's not. Despite insisting on a replacement for my child's safety, the unwillingness and disrespectful attitude of the staff left me thoroughly disappointed. There was not a single apology, and they even gestured for me to leave.
What's even more concerning is the uneven layering between the cake and the cream now, with no sign of professional quality control. It seems the shop hasn't estimated the sales volume, making the chance of getting the desired cake feel like a matter of luck. This experience has shaken my confidence in the shop's quality and service. I hope the shop takes customer feedback seriously, striving to improve both quality and...
