This is a counter service establishment which is not my favorite. Counter service I find typically gives the staff an excuse to care less, be less friendly and less service oriented overall, because you give them their money up front so they don't have to work for their tip. Obviously that's not always the case with counter service, but it was at Sinatra. The woman at the counter was not terribly polite when we were placing our order. The coffee station is self serve and they were out of regular. When I let them know, it took three big sighs and an eye roll before they replaced the urn with a full one. The biggest problem was that the food came out cooked incorrectly. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, which states on the menu has over medium eggs. My boyfriend ordered the basic eggs and bacon breakfast with eggs over hard. When our food came out my eggs were cooked over hard, which is so disappointing because the runny yolk is my favorite part of a breakfast sandwich. But overall the sandwich had good flavor. So I ate it and enjoyed it despite the over cooked eggs, because they were at least done to an appropriate level of over hard. Now my boyfriend that actually ordered over hard eggs ended up with over hard eggs that looked and had the texture of end that had been left on the flat top for about 10-15 minutes after they had been finished cooking. They were dark, rubbery and inedible. When I took the plate back to the counter to let her know that his eggs were hammered and cooked to death, her response was unbelievable. In a really snide manner and tone she said, "you mean the eggs that were supposed to be over hard?". Yeah, I asked for over hard eggs. Not cooked to death rubbery eggs. There is a difference. Just because someone doesn't want runny yolks, doesn't mean they want their eggs to cook for 25 minutes and be burnt and inedible. That's ridiculous! My eggs were a perfect over hard, too bad they were supposed to be over medium. Obviously the problem was the kitchen being too busy. They tried to get mine over medium and went too long and did the same with my boyfriend's. It's just that over cooking an over hard egg renders it inedible and any trained chef/cook knows that. They were just trying to pass it off in hopes that most people don't complain when things are wrong. If the counter woman had handled the situation better we'd have given Sintra another try. But her attitude was inexcusable and we won't be back...

During my recent visits to Bend, I had the pleasure of dining at Sintra—first on a guys’ trip and again the following week with my family. Both experiences were absolutely fantastic, and this has quickly become one of my favorite brunch spots in town!
The atmosphere at Sintra is warm, inviting, and full of charm. Whether you’re catching up with friends or enjoying a relaxed family breakfast, the ambiance makes it the perfect spot. The service was outstanding on both visits—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable staff who made us feel welcome and taken care of.
Now, let’s talk about the food—simply incredible! On my first visit, I had the Portuguese Benedict, and it was next-level delicious. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, with eggs cooked to perfection and a hollandaise sauce that was just the right mix of creamy and tangy. My second visit with family gave us the chance to try a variety of dishes, from the Brioche French Toast (light, fluffy, and beautifully presented) to the Chorizo Hash, which was packed with flavor and the perfect mix of hearty and savory.
Sintra also nails their coffee and drinks! Whether you’re in the mood for a well-crafted latte or a refreshing mimosa, they have great options that complement the meal perfectly.
Overall, Sintra delivers on all fronts—amazing food, great service, and a cozy ambiance that makes you want to come back again and again. Whether you’re visiting Bend or lucky enough to be a local, this is a must-visit spot for an unforgettable breakfast or brunch experience. Highly...
Read moreWe were excited to try this restaurant, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. I had the Cubano, which was decent—generous on the meat, but lacking in flavor compared to Cuban restaurant in town. It wasn’t bad, just underwhelming.
My partner, however, ordered the Prego and that’s where the real disappointment set in. There was barely any meat, making it feel more like a bread, onion, and cheese sandwich with a hint of steak as an afterthought. To make matters worse, the bread itself felt cheap and soggy, which only added to the letdown. I now wish I would’ve read the reviews, because others have said similar things.
With restaurant prices being what they are today, a meal should feel worth the money. Unfortunately, this one didn’t. For the same price, we could’ve had a far better experience elsewhere, and we immediately regretted our choice. Wish I could get my money back for the Prego and that restaurants could be held accountable for such...
