On this evening, my partner, and I wanted to get a late night bite to eat. We were greeted by a friendly bouncer, who escorted us to our table. He then instructed us how to order, shortly after he then politely brought us waters,. Shortly after my partner ordered 2 casamigos alcoholic beverages, which were made by a short stature, blonde haired bartender. More of a quaint Mexican bar rather than restaurant was housing only a few guests. After tasting the drinks my partner approached the bar and quietly shared his displeasure for the drink. It being late we really didn't want to ruin our first experience and get too hung up about the drinks. The blonde haired short statured bartender awaits for the nice bouncer/server to return and screams loudly "he said my drink sucks." She expressed aggressively and loudly with attitude in a tone only a mother would use and shared her ability to make drinks and her invested years in the craft. She moved swiftly around the bar kinda making all who were sitting uncomfortable. No shade but the only one who will yell at or towards my man will be me. Once again as a woman and understanding feminine energy I reassured her it was no particular insult towards her drink. She begins to have an attempted yelling match about how she will cover the drinks, working since 7am and we can leave and a few other thoughtless statements. We were so uncomfortable we are going to escalate to the attorney generals office it was very frightening, the world needs peace and love not war. Our only savior at this time was South Street diner....

My husband and I ate here during our vacation, and sat at the bar.

Josh was awesome (friendly, professional, great customer service). He was the only one working when we arrived, but he was still very attentive and friendly.

Since we were on vacation, we're not familiar with the restaurant. I discovered after it was Taco Tuesday, and I would have ordered differently if Josh would've mentioned it to me when I ordered tacos.

I got a Modelo and my husband got a mango margarita. He said it's the best margarita he has ever had.

The food was great. I ate chicken tacos on flour; when it came out incorrectly (corn tortillas), Josh handled it very professionally. I didn't like the cotija street corn (due to my preference- my husband ate it), but I think it was accurately described. My husband got a steak quesadilla.

I liked the atmosphere here in general, but I have to say that I think it's incredibly inappropriate (and gross) to allow a dog to sit in a chair at a restaurant's bar. While we were there, a dog was seated in a bar chair, pushed up to the bar, for at least half of the time we spent at the restaurant. I say this as a person who loves to take our dogs to different places where they are allowed. Having a well-behaved dog doesn't mean you can disregard cleanliness around food, restaurant regulations, or considerations of...

Had a terrible experience at this restaurant. We walked in and was told from behind the bar to sit anywhere, scan the code & someone would be right with us. After sitting down & waiting a few, we ordered 3 sodas. The sodas were given to us without straws. I then asked for straws & the same waitress that was behind the bar, serving other tables, cleaning other tables, & doing everything else came by & with her bare hands and placed stirrers in our drinks, nasty!

I took them out & a few minutes later some guy who worked there, whom you couldn’t even tell worked there because he did not look presentable at all, came & asked us if everything was ok. I said no, we asked for straws, got stirrers & they were placed disgustingly in our drinks. I asked him if we could have STRAWS that were not touched by others! He then replies, with an attitude “ I don’t understand, I will have to touch the straw to give them to you.” I said then nvm, I don’t need them. He says & they’re called stirrers … I asked for straws! Mind you the table next to us had straws!

All that to say, we ordered food, never got it, tables beside us who came after us was were getting served. We went to pay for our sodas at the bar, he said we didn’t have to pay for them so we just left. I will...

Salutations Googleans, I've spent 18 months in the Maryland prison system and I have pork belly nutrient deficiency. When I first got home to East Boston, I roasted my self up a slab of pork belly with fish sauce vinaigrette dipping sauce, and a bowl of jasmine rice. That is one of the quintessential Vietnamese soul food in our culture. You can roast, fry, braise, boil, stir fry, steam, sear, and grill this wonderful part of the pig that is full of collagenic benefits When I was wandering on Green Dragon Lane, my soul was still craving for chicharrons, eventually by serendipity, I stumbled upon Alma Cantina; a David in this Goliath Bostonian environment. The pork belly taco was divinely bellissimo, unfortunately I was disappointed in only one instance, there was no ghost chili hot sauce to douse my meal in. Luckily they didn't because I will be having fuego gaseoso down under. Now to build my tolerances back up from square one, on to the next one.

Recently met for an impromptu lunch with friends at Alma Cantina. The staff was nice but not super knowledgeable, and the drinks were cold and serviceable. We ordered the carne asada tacos and birria eggrolls to share. The eggrolls weren’t hot inside but tasted ok. The nachos were uneven and not exciting. The steak on the nachos was hammered. We then ordered some tacos which were “fine.” The highlight was finishing our food and see a mouse scurry across the floor…this was likely due to 1) the front door being open and 2) there is a large hole in the wall right next to the door on the inside. Regardless, not great and won’t be back.
