Discriminated against me and my friend because weâre Africans! My friend visited Boston for the first time and we wanted to spend the Saturday night at their ânight clubâ event. Around 12:30am, the atmosphere was still so boring in there so we decided to take a quick trip to the Theatre District to see how overall night life in Boston was. We returned at exactly 1:05 and the security asked for our IDs. After showing our âAfricanâ passports , he said thereâs no re-entry after 1am. We were baffled as no one made that known to us and we had already paid a cover of $50 ($25 each).
After few confrontations and explanations, we just gave up and decided to just Uber home. I was surprised how they quickly changed their minds after seeing our passports. Well, we thought it was company policy and there was nothing we could do so we were calling it a night to just go home. This was after about 20 minutes of trying to persuade them, telling the security of how we had no idea of the policy and how they only changed their minds after seeing our passports and our tickets.
Just as we were waiting for our Uber, one gentleman (with no African accent and passport) and lady arrived. They were told they couldnât enter, which made sense to us. This new gentleman called who I supposed was the manager. The manager came to the gate and told him itâs past 1pm, giggling and laughing. He then proceeded to allow them in. My friend was furious and demanded why they were applying different rules to different people. The manager had nothing to say, but shamelessly allowed these new people who had arrived after 1:25pm to enter, still denying us entry! UNBELIEVABLE!!! Couldnât believe my eyes and the blatant discrimination.
First of all, the atmosphere is wack as compared to how vibrant this place used to be in the past. Now I understand why patronage gets thinner and thinner every Saturday evening. I have heard people complain about discrimination, but never thought it was so blatantly displayed! I will never visit this place again as thereâre better Afrobeats places like ICON with more luxurious and welcoming vibe.
Please donât waste your time visiting here on...
Read moreworst experience Iâve ever had. Iâm going with a friend to order drinks and food . I ordered the steak Frites which is advertised to come with fries, garlic mashed potatoes , sautĂ©ed carrots, parsnips for $25. Upon ordering I asked the waiter if I can get onion rings with my order instead of fries and she tells make sure. The she says that there is no garlic mashed potatoes , sautĂ©ed carrots, parsnips and the price will still be the same for only the fries and steak. So I asked to speak with a manager, A couple minutes later a bartender comes over to me telling me that the menu is a typo and that it doesnât ever come with garlic mashed potatoes , sautĂ©ed carrots, parsnips. But clearly it is supposed to come with those items because it is written below just like every other menu item , which details it comes with . The food didnât take too long to come which I didnât expect it too because we were the only ones there. Steak had a funny taste to it and onion rings tasted weird as well. I did not even finish the whole steak . We ordered two drinks they were good (big easy and pain killah). We then ask for our bill and found that they tried to charge us for an extra drink that we did not drink. I understand we all make mistakes , but however, we were the only two people in there so thereâs no way that you could mistakenly put a drink on the tab that we didnt drink . When I brought it to the servers attention she immediately took it off . but I still feel like they were trying to get over on me, especially after the lady lied to me about what my meal was supposed...

Went out with my friends and family to celebrate my graduation and decided to hit a local club. Things were going great at firstâwe were in good spirits, having fun, and enjoying the night. About an hour in, everything changed!
A woman ( Hispanic , about five foot, jet black hair) who seemed to be in charge approached us and told us we had to vacate the section we were sitting in because it was âreserved.â It was an empty Friday night, and the party it was allegedly reserved for hadnât even arrived yet. We respectfully offered to pay for the section, but she refused without even considering it.
For context, this was around 10 PM on Friday, May 23rd, 2025. The Red Sox game had been postponed due to the rain, so we found a new spot to continue the celebration. Shoutout to the BARTENDERS âthey were fantastic and really made us feel welcome!
When one of the staff members kindly told us we needed to move, I was in the middle of turning to let my group know, and before I could say anything, âMadameâ came over and started shouting and demanding that we leave the section immediately, while 4 to 5 other sections were available for that party when they arrived. Then, out of nowhere, she got physically aggressive, just because we didnât move fast enough for her.
It was completely uncalled for, especially given how calm and cooperative we were trying to be. What should have been a great night ended on a sour note because of how poorly the situation was handled. My FIRST and LAST TIME GOING...
