Guessing if local/regular, good place?? if visiting expect poor service and being ripped off! Read summary below. Visiting Boston was in the neighborhood stopped in 8-25-23 at 11PM sat right at bar. Service was not good. asked what kind of IPAs they had on draft (bartenders were not busy) after an uncomfortable interaction of them not wanting to explain what they had on draft, I explained that I am new to the bar and area and did not know what they had on draft. Settled for 1st IPA. A flamboyant guy came in and wanted to order where more unpleasantries ensurd since he was asking many questions. When I finished my beer (remember right at the bar) they ignored me. After quite a while they asked he if I needed another beer I explained: check please, Got the check for 11.25 (before any fees or taxes) for 1 pint of beer. So I went onto their website and checked the price for the beer online menu. I will assume I ordered the most expensive beer on their menu which is $10.75 so looks like a min overcharge of .50 cents. I'm deciding what to do next since this appears to not only be poor service but fraud too. I have pics of...

I do feel the need to preface this with that I certainly enjoyed the food and it was very well made, and I enjoyed the scene and the offerings. However I must have shown up on an off day or somebody was a no-call no-show on staff because it took us around 45 minutes to get all of our food. Two of the three fried chicken sandwiches were grilled (they chose not to mention it was cooked wrong since we just wanted to eat and leave asap at this point), the fried one came out about 5 minutes later. Two of us also had sides that never showed up despite it being mentioned that they were on their way twice, I'm not sure what happened to those but I could see the chicken not being cooked properly since I didn't see the waitress writing the orders down. Aside from these faults which could be caused by a variety or reasons, I really enjoyed the place and the staff was wonderful and nice (although rushed). Like I said before the food was enjoyable and the setting was perfect (they even have a breathalyzer!! So cool!), it pains me to rate The Corner Pub as a three star but with my experience today I couldn't in good faith rate higher. Maybe next time would be...

Update 8.17.22 I've come back to the Corner Pub quite often now. Mostly to see my new friend Fran the pink flamingo. Their food is delicious and service great. Their steak sandwich and grilled cheese are amazing and try all their eggrolls. Pam and Matt the owners have been so kind to me and my family during this difficult time. They also generously provided lunch and dinner to the nurses and doctors taking care of my husband at Tufts CSICU. Stop by and check it out, especially if you are coming into the city by commuter rail. You are steps away from South Station.. and "there's always another train"

I'm staying in Boston while my husband is in the hospital. I wandered in one evening because the sign on the door caught my attention. The rest of the signs decorations make me smile. The bartender/server was so good on a Monday night, Mike I believe his name was, I thought he owned the place. Food was great and service too. I've been back two more times and met the owner Pam. She is very kind and caring. Definitely stop in here when coming and going from south Station. . Close to Chinatown and Tufts...

I wish there were 6 stars. Everyone here is your friend - leave your problems outside - or bring them in and anyone here will listen. Whether you're in a Brooks Brothers 3-piece cut high and tight or rocking Vans with dreds you have a home here. It's a comfy bar with attentive service, good food, and it's a downtown location (5 minute walk from South Station, on the edge of Chinatown) that will not break the bank. Students, financiers (not the cake), and locals mesh well. If you visit once, you'll want to visit again.
