My good friend pays half a grand monthly for the privilege of using this garage. Tonight, a very cold and windy Halloween night, we were waiting by the elevator for our Uber. We took a few photos of our costumes, and an employee of the adjoining apartment building came over to (rudely) inform us we can’t take photos. We apologized, and continued to quietly talk amongst ourselves while we waited. We were waiting in this spot for maybe a cumulative two minutes when a woman who introduced herself as the lead security guard questioned what we were doing there. I said we parked downstairs and another friend said we were waiting for an Uber. She then said, “So which is it?” to imply we were lying. This really soured my evening and I can’t believe my friend who’s given this company thousands of dollars over the years is treated this way for wanting to wait a simple 5 minutes out of the cold. Do not park here probably unless you have a membership pass. Bought pass on spothero. Went there no scanner to let me in via spothero pass. They forced me to take ticket and said when I leave I can scan spothero pass. I asked if issue occured as I was leaving at midnight if somone would be around to let me out they said yes 24/7. Got back at 12 am, no luck getting out. Called them no answer. No one in office by 1:30 am I am locked in, I find a janitor or electrician who then starts looking for someone. By 2 am somone finally arrives to let me out. I even tried to go to entrance get ticket and check out but you can not get a ticket if you look not like a car. Parked for an hour, tried to leave and the ticket would not be accepted. Attendant only Showed up after we called the number listed not when we hit the intercom button. One called he showed up tried charging us the entire day vs the hour we were there for. We told him no, his machine was down and that’s not fair to us. Especially since we’ve been waiting 15 minutes for assistance in leaving! Then the card machine didn’t work once he agreed to the $10. Had to try two cards didn’t work then go inside and do it.
