When we were greeted Kayla promptly brought our drinks and took our Appetizer order. She quickly came back to take out food order as well, and then we waited and waited and waited. 42 min after we ordered the fried pickles I flagged her down to ask if she could check on them. She said oh yeah I was just going to do that and then walked away without noticing every drink on the table was bone dry. She brought the pickles a few minutes later and left again without refilling drinks. I will also warn you the portion for the pickles was very skimpy. Then our food came…she was about to walk away again when I said excuse me could we please have some refills and some ketchup please? She said yes and left behind all the app plates we had piled nicely for her at the end of our table and few minutes later someone else arrived with new drinks and left all the empty cups on the table. My son’s girlfriend had a burger that was burnt beyond eating and my Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich had been terribly over cooked. My husband and son had decent food so we waited for them to finish leaving 85% of our food on the plates. When she finally returned to ask if we were ready for the check she did not even notice the black burger sitting on the plate with the burnt side up to ask if everything was ok or why we left so much of our food uneaten. She also then walked away to get the check and still did not pick up a single glass or plate. Our table was completely full of every app plate, app bowl, entree plates, extra cups from refills that we had gotten from the time we got there. Clueless. I run a restaurant and my son and his girlfriend are both servers and we are all very observant of things in a situation like this. We were sitting in the booth directly across from the POS station by the doors to the patio seating There was a girl in the section just on the other side of those doors that was a hustler! She served 3 tables with food by the time we got one appetizer. I don’t know her name, but you should definitely make her your trainer and give them to expectation to work like her. I normally do not write long reviews because I always dread reading them as a GM, but I hope you will find this one helpful...

This was probably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a Big Whiskeys. The server was very nice when we first got there and was so lively. He gave us tons of suggestions on whiskeys to try. So we order our food and he gets it going. He brings out everyone food and drinks. My husband ordered a drink and on the menu it cost $18.50. The server tells him he can sub with any whiskey they have, he never stated that the drink would be more with the sub whiskey, we’ve never ordered drinks from there before but we were celebrating so we said why not. Now everyone has eaten and we get our bill. Our bill is almost $300. I tell the server that it has to be a mistake. I look at the bill and notice he charged us $4 extra for my kids side salad even though the menu said $1 extra for a second side. I then see that my husband’s drink came out to $80. I told the server that it seems like he made a mistake because we didn’t order that. He said yes we did and that the sub whiskey was an additional $60. I told him he did not tell us that when we ordered it. I said you should’ve told us that it was an additional $60 for that drink that way we can judge for ourselves on if we wanted to get it or not. He said “I don’t know what you want me to do”. I asked for a manager and he said okay. He walks off and comes back 10 minutes later and says “I’ve taken the drink off” I then asked for the manager again and he rolled his eyes and left again. The manager comes over and talks with us and says “I’m sorry for the misunderstanding but the server said you ASKED for the drink and for the sub whiskey by name” I told her no ma’am that is a lie he suggested everything to us but didn’t tell us that it was an up charge for it. The manager then apologized for the server and then removed the salad and the $80 drink. We thanked her and stayed for a while. When the server came back he was very rude and told me I needed to wait for a to go box, even though I had asked him several times for one. The server was nice up until we noticed he was trying to get over on us but padding the ticket so he got a big gratuity since our party was over 6. All and all I will not be...

I will start by saying that we enjoyed our food. The rest of the night was not good. We were seated outside right away and ordered our drinks in an ok amount of time but it took awhile for our waiter to get our drinks out to the table. We ordered an appetizer with the rest of the order because it took so long to get the waiter back that we didn’t want to risk waiting to order dinner. We had to wait longer than expected for an appetizer of chips and dip. When it came we ran out of chips quickly and couldn’t get our waiter back for more and our drinks were empty and we had no napkins or silverware. We asked another waitress to get our waiter but that was not helpful. Our food was delivered before the waiter came back and the salad I ordered was made wrong and I was given fries as my side as well though I didn’t order them. The salad was replaced and our waiter was finally able to get our drinks refilled but still no chips for the dip. When the waiter finally came back we asked for chips again and got them but it had been about 20 minutes since our initial request and the cheese dip had cooled and wasn’t as good to eat. Meanwhile there were other tables around us not being served for much too long and when anyone was served it was rushed and borderline rude. We then had to wait almost 30 more minutes to try to pay and get a to go box and couldn’t get our waiter back. We are usually a fast table to flip and this meal took more than twice as long as it should have. It was maybe a staffing issue but the whole atmosphere is off when the waiter is so frazzled and running around and still other tables are being left unattended. Severely under staffed. Long story short, booked a reservation and was told 2 hours. Then, came time. Was told just 5 more minutes. Ok, no big deal. Then, 35 minutes later. Our table was ready. We walked past a mostly empty bar at 9pm with several open tables. Made a right turn and I look to my left and see plenty of dirty tables waiting to be cleaned. Sat down at our table. Waitress was kinda distant at first but did come around. The large table to my right, as the guests got up and left. Nobody cleaned that table for the rest of the duration while I was in that building. Seems they have very little help at all. This location is severely understaffed Mr. STEPHEN HASTINGS General Manger of Big Whiskey's in Branson, Missouri. Please higher more employees or tell your guests what to expect so we fully understand what we are going in to here. I get the whole new democratic administration has really NO idea what they are doing but I'm struggling in my own business. I need to higher a good 500 employees and nobody wants to work. Set the right expectations so the experience for your guests will be made aware. I would have tipped higher knowing this going in. Just FYI. Your food was good. Was pleasantly surprised how delicious it actually was. Thanks for taking the time to read my short post.

I was so excited to try this place after looking at the menu and drink selection! Great concept and ideas on the menu but unfortunately the staff/management is not following through with service, expectations, or quality! Service was way below expectations! The bartender doesn’t make drinks correctly, the servers don’t garnish them correctly in my eyes, it boils down to bad management. We sat down excited to try the big a** Bloody Mary. It came out with regular salt, no bacon crumbles, no slice of bacon. When the server came back and we asked for it to be corrected she instantly acted like it was a big deal.. not our fault your restaurant advertised it one way and the staff chooses to make it another way…my mimosa didn’t come garnished either. Then our second order of mimosas came out in 2 completely different sized glasses, again quality and consistency is key. Steak and eggs were awful. Steak was chewy and the Gorgonzola sauce was like water. Again, this falls on management for not doing quality checks on food and drinks being served. Just disappointing when you ask for something and it comes out completely different then you’re met with an attitude from servers. Our visit was Sunday morning. 6/13/21 at 11am. We wanted to love this place:/

The staff member we had during our visit was great to chat with and fun to have around. She made sure our drinks were full and fulfilled each of our extra requests for those little things like honey mustard to go, and extra ranch while dining in. The food was great. In particular, my 13 yr old niece with her refined palate of picky eating said this about her brunch melt chicken sandwich that she ordered “Tell them this sandwich is like heaven in your mouth”. So kudos to the kitchen staff as well in getting what she ordered correct to such a level of amazement. My only con for this visit was in the daquiri that I ordered, which was mostly ice once the drink was gone. The taste was there, but it was difficult to drink with all of the ice chips blocking the straw. Otherwise this location is great in the lobby area of the Hilton hotel at Branson Landing and we will for sure be back for another visit when around the Branson Landing area again.
