Moe's Southwest Grill — Restaurant in Branson

This is not the sort of place I would have expected to like, or even be able to eat at. My wife and both children have Celiac Disease, and the majority of the time we do not eat out at all due to worries over cross-contamination. So when we walked in and saw the notices saying "shared kitchen" and "gluten-friendly" I expected we'd get drinks and nothing else. We had come with extended family, so we weren't going to just leave, but we figured we'd find food elsewhere later.

The staff behind the counter, though, seemed genuinely interested in the problem, and one of them stated an EMT background. They took our concerns seriously, and then went out of their way to find something safe for my family to eat anyway. And they did. Their chips are corn, not flour, and fried in a dedicated fryer - nothing but the chips go into it. The salsas on their salsa bar, as well as their guacamole and queso, were all GF (and good! Everything tasted fresh, and even my cilantro-hating father thought the guac was good). The EMT even discounted the queso I ordered, "for the trouble." My trouble?! I usually end up feeling bad for the workers at any place we do go, for putting -them- through the trouble of handling our dietary difficulties.

I asked if this was something I could rely on chain-wide, and he couldn't promise me that since this was a franchise operation, but I am very glad to know that there is a safe place for my family to eat when we visit Branson...

I normally love Moe's but here I sit scraping the bottom of my bowl trying to get enough food. My girlfriend and I are eating here tonight, and apparently the manager thought I ordered from the kid's menu. I ordered a burrito bowl and normally the meat almost covers my rice. She gave me a partial scoop that looked like a bulls eye. I asked her if that was all I got and she said “Yep, that’s it.” My girlfriend behind me had a fulll platter of meat (prepared by another worker). She also got a heaping portion of cilantro. I got a few leaves. (I'll try to post a picture). I was going to ask for more but I saw how far that got me last time. Finially upon sitting down we noticed there wasn't any rock and roll sauce on the bar. So when we asked for the bottle we were handed a small container for both of us to use on our bowls and our chips. Absolutely pathetic. If I am going to pay an arm and a leg for fast food I at least expect to leave full. We...

I have never been treated so poorly by a staff member. My husband and I usually come here about once every other week and most of the time the service and food is phenomenal. Tonight, however, we came in around 6:30 and the young man behind the counter was snappy the entire time we were ordering. Then when my husband and I were trying to pay we inquired about the rewards system and asked if we had the right app as it would save us a lot of money. The young man responded “I don’t know I just work here” and offered no further help or answers. He honestly looked really stressed out even though there were only a few people in the building, and I would understand his frustration if we were being Karen’s but we were patient polite and friendly. Honestly don’t know if I’d be comfortable coming back here he made us feel really stupid...
