A gem and a trip in time when you walk in. If you like Victorian style café this is the place for you. They have several tables inside and a couple outside. This place has chandeliers and ornate architecture inside and out. But the real gem is the options for pies and cakes, and coffee and tea.
We ordered a carrot cake and coconut creme pie and both were delicious and paired well with our coffee latte.
You can tell that the carrot cake was homemade and the icing was delectable. The cake wasn't too dense and the spices were well-balanced.
The coconut creme pie crust was tasty. The filing was creamy and flavorful but it had a hint of imitation coconut flavoring. The pie was topped with roasted coconut flakes which added texture and depth.
Overall, good atmosphere but feel a little cluttered. Most of the decorations and displays have tags for sale.
Park outside in the public parking lot or on the curb. There are no bathrooms inside the cafe. However, there's a public restroom conveniently outside by the...
Read moreThis was the cutest place! They had the best pie and tea. The restaurant was decorated in Victorian fashion with multiple chandeliers. They have so many beautiful Victorian style tea pots for sale, too. My husband devoured his blueberry pie and could not stop bragging about just how delicious the homemade pie crust was. He is a tea connoisseur and was very pleased with his hot cup of Earl Grey. My triple chocolate pie with its homemade crust was also delicious. I’m not sure how they got the creamy topping to the texture they did, but it was perfect. The pie crust itself was perfection. They also have savory dishes like chicken salad sandwiches, but we had already eaten earlier so we just had the dessert. Can hardly wait to go back to Branson and try their savory...
Read moreI purchased a small cherry pie to take home. The next day when I tried it, I found that it didn't have any decipherable cherries. It was a gummy, sugary, sticky substance in an underdone crust. The taste was nothing like what a cherry should taste like and not worth eating. The larger pieces of pie in the shop looked like they had actual berries so I'm not sure what this was but I am very disappointed. The scone was also a bit disappointing in texture. Not flaky or buttery but rather a chewy inside with a crunchy outside. The shop itself was extremely small and uncomfortable to be in. Nearly impossible to try and look at the bakery case/menu while not bumping into the tables of people eating. I would not want to eat there as it would not...
