My friends and I stopped by Clint's four different times during our trip to Breckenridge and recommend it to anyone looking for a quick breakfast or lunch bite. I tried at least three different lattes, including the spicy chai, turmeric, and caramel, and I personally thought the drinks were decent. However, the baked goods and bagels were what kept bringing us back. They have a huge selection of both traditional and vegan options, so much so that we had a hard time picking what we wanted! The blueberry muffins are crumbly on the outside and soft on the inside, the strawberry and cheese pastries were a hit, and the blueberry buckle was a unique treat. My friends tried the Almond Croissant and vegan chocolate cake and couldn’t stop praising it. Make sure not to miss the bagel shop downstairs. My personal favorite was the Swiss with egg, sausage, and cheese. The green chilli sauce was a delightfully spicy kick to our sandwiches. The service, for the most part, was great. The baristas were quick to take and serve orders even during busy periods and took the time to make recommendations without making you feel rushed. The only time the service left us dissapointed was when an associate taking orders in the bagel shop downstairs was being passive aggressive and rude to customers, including me and my friends. I brought this incident up to one of the barisstas, who immediately relayed it to the manager and apologized on their...
Read moreI went in the morning looking for some coffee and a quick bite before we hit the road back into Denver. I was looking forward to coming, as I had been before and was impressed by the bakery. Although the pastries looked good, I was underwhelmed with the service. The cashier (Steph, I think?) seemed like she did not want to be there at all. I had asked for an iced drink and saw that it wasn’t reflected on the screen, and repeated myself to make sure the order was correct. She had responded, in an annoyed voice, that they use insulated non-plastic cups. Which is fine, I love the environment, but didn’t need a lecture, just wanted to make sure that my order was correct.
On top of that, the basement that makes the food did not seem to have great air circulation, I was feeling the heat and oil just rising into the upper level. The place was cramped, the staff seemed to be rushing everyone and were not too approachable, very limited standing/sitting area to wait for your drink - the pastries were yummy, and the coffee was okay but, overall, pretty disappointed.
You’d have a better experience grabbing your coffee in different areas of...
Read moreI feel like I'm writing two reviews here: The food and coffee easily merit 5 stars and are reasonably priced for location and quality. No issues there. I went there two days in a row on the weekend, and I was appalled by the customer service on the second day (a Saturday). We arrived quite early to beat the rush but still found food service exceedingly slow. Instead of placing orders, staff members would ignore customers in line and do small tasks that did not seem essential to preparations. Staff repeatedly dropped items while we waited, and it seems a couple tickets dropped as well. Two of my friends had their orders completely missed and, when they checked in with staff on status, they were met with snarkiness about needing to listen for their order (though they never called the names in the first place). I can only hope this was a bad day for the employees, but it gave a very unprofessional impression and led to us waiting nearly an hour for bagel sandwiches with only 2 people ahead of us in line. This overall review only avoids 1 star because the food is quite tasty. No complaints on the separate coffee line, though. Quick...
