Well… we had a reservation for 12 people for a dear friend’s 40th birthday and we arrived on time, and we waited a bit while our table was set up. We got to the table and found our party split into 3 tables… which is not remotely what we anticipated. We asked why- when we had a reservation that we were split up and they said “oh we accepted some late reservations.” The people we spoke to said “Well it’s Saturday night, it’s the best we can do.” I know for a fact the two parties in front of us did not have reservations but were seated promptly at in the bar where there was room for 12 people.

So my husband and I decided to leave so, at least, everyone else could be at two places instead of three.

But then everyone else left too. So they missed out on, easily, $1,000 we would spent tonight. It’s a shame, I was really looking forward to eating here but now never will. Terrible way to treat people, particularly people who took the time to reserve a table for a special occasion. It’s a shame and very...

We visted Brenham for my birthday this past weekend, 9/20/24. This restaurant was not what we expected when we pulled up, they've converted an old house into a lovely little restaurant with a cozy, romantic vibe. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. We started our meal off with an order of the House potatoes and the rissoto parmigiana, both were exceptional. The potatoes were garlicky and crispy and the risotto was creamy and rich. I had a dirty martini and the Shrimp alla Diavolo. The shrimp pasta had just the right amount of spice and the House made pasta was fantastic. My husband had the sausage and peppers and enjoyed his meal, as well. We finished our meal off with the tiramisu. Everything was delicious!! Will be back again when we are in the area. We did not have a reservation but I get the impression if you want to be seated on a busy weekend or Saturday a reservation...

A Truly Disastrous Dining Experience at Brossa’s Chibo e Vino

I honestly have no idea how this place has a 4.8-star rating because our experience was nothing short of awful. We ended up with food poisoning after dining here—enough said.

I ordered the mushroom risotto, expecting something rich and creamy, but what arrived at the table was cold, thick, and completely unappetizing. It was like eating glue with mushrooms thrown in. The garlic bread was equally disappointing, barely warm and tasting off, as if it had been sitting around for hours.

To top it all off, they didn’t have a single brand of Chardonnay available. How does a so-called wine restaurant not have a basic white wine option?

I genuinely don’t understand the hype surrounding this place. Either we caught them on their worst night ever, or those 4.8-star reviews are beyond unreasonable. Absolutely would...

Fantastic, five stars across the board. The food and wine were incredible. The atmosphere was incredible. The service was incredible. Our waiter was the owner’s youngest son, who was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, professional, and obviously passionate about his craft; surpassing the service of far more experienced waiters at just 16. They accommodated us kindly as walk ins on a relatively busy day. Their prices were very reasonable. Brossa’s surpassed our expectations in every way, and I cannot wait to come back. P.s the charcuterie (antipasti) is amazing and you should try it. Also, if you aren’t lucky enough to have the same waiter as us, his #1 rec is the Amatriciana, followed by the Wild Board sauce over pasta. Both were great!

We were on our way back to Houston and decided to detour into Brenham for lunch. This restaurant looks to be in an old house, with a nice mix of the original (floors, hardware, etc) with more updated linens/color palette - it felt charming but not dated. The food was absolutely delicious - we had the cheeseburger, tomato bisque and garlic bread. The bisque was one of the best I've ever had, and the roasted potatoes that came with the burger were to die for. We finished it off with hand rolled chocolate truffles, which were as delicious as they sound. The restaurant was slow on a Saturday afternoon, but the service was attentive and friendly. Would absolutely recommend.

We found this little gem of an Italian restaurant by chance and boy, were we lucky!! This has to be one of our best finds! Everything about Brossa’s is fabulous - from the atmosphere, to the staff, to the delicious food, to the extensive Italian wines! My husband had the wild boar pepperdelle & I had the risotto. Fabulous! We started with the meatballs. Delicious! The Caesar was one of the best I’ve had with their homemade dressing & dried capers. And don’t even ask me about their roasted garlic bread! Coming from the food Mecca in Austin, we loved this little place so much. Needless to say, we were very impressed & look forward to another trip back.
