Update: Thanks for the response but I am not making this up. Four of your employees were involved-3 men and one woman. Two (a man and a woman were in the bar in the front area by the bathroom, one came out of the bathroom and the fourth guy came from the kitchen, and pulled the other “bathroom” guy back into the kitchen once he saw what was going on). Also, I have never left a negative public review for any business before on Yelp. I support small businesses 💯. I’ll let the readers draw their own conclusions. Original post: Bathrooms are male and female. I was waiting for the ladies restroom for quite a while (men’s was totally open but I leave that to the guys out of respect) and a dude finally walks out. I told him to use the men’s restroom. No reason to be in the women’s. He started arguing with me about it. 🙄 Then a worker comes from the kitchen and…pulls him back..into the kitchen. Better still. 🥴 Then I told a female worker who said “well, you still got to pee, didn’t ya?” Bless her heart- aren’t I the lucky one? I guess all those women who fought for seperate bathroom facilities in the 1800s were soooo sexist or something. I can’t believe I have to say this but women have a right to their own facilities for basic hygiene and valid safety reasons. If this establishment doesn’t care about women’s safety then please stop pretending and put All Gender signs on your doors-at least we’ll be forewarned. Basic bar, rude staff, pass this one by if you...
Read moreUPDATE: This negative review is being left due to the fact that my wife handed her card over to the bartender to close a tab, was given a receipt to sign and then nearly an hour later and no additional drinks being ordered, there was a tab to close when I came around to the bar. To clarify that there is camera footage that had been reviewed and to hand wave my comment away as “frustration over last call” seems like a lie told for coping purposes to me. I did not allude to frustration over being denied a drink on either my wife or my part because there was no frustration. I am an adult that has been to a bar and understands what last call is. Make a comment about the tabs being closed in your next AI assisted response instead of going with the “ you mad” approach.
The bartender with the dreadlocks denied service to my wife for sitting on barstool with her knees and she then asked to close our tab at that time and signed a receipt . Around a half an hour later I came by for another drink not realizing I had missed last call and then checked to make sure our tab was closed and also paid out a tab and signed a receipt. I am pretty certain that the bartender attempted to fake close our tabs the first time with my wife in order to max charge us out at the end of the night. Will he finding a more trustworthy bar to visit after this...
Read moreThis is my favorite bar in Bristol I moved here about 6 weeks ago from the City of Minneapolis and after being in a number of Touristesque local bars and shops that had limited appeal to me I stumbled into this place. The atmosphere it's absolutely fabulous they have two floors which feels like you're getting a two for one experience at this bar and they also have a back patio so often it feels as if you're at 3 fun bars with 3 different crowds. Hometown crowd plays variety great songs on the jukebox. The upstairs features a stage and a little lounge area in the back .. a bartender greets u as well.. so traveling to big bar downstairs is not necessary...unless u inclined.. another is very great feature of this bar in Bristol on State Street is that they're only open till 3 a.m. every night consistently so you can always count on them and being small town it's reminiscent of Bristol's Own Cheers.. where everybody knows your name.. come see enjoy.. loud...
