We were walking down Franklin St and happened to come across this restaurant. The outdoor seating caught our eye, and the warm, inviting vibe we could see through the windows sealed the deal. We are from Raleigh, so we didn’t know it was a brand new place at the time. We decided to give it a try, even though we usually stick to spots that are either recommended or have been around for a while. We shared the crab cakes and the salmon dinner, along with a couple of pilsners. Everything was fresh and nicely executed, both in taste and presentation. The beers came in chilled glasses, which was a nice touch. The crab cakes were honestly really good (wish we had ordered two). Our server, Anastasia, was friendly and on top of everything without being too much. The whole place was clean and seemed to be running smoothly, which was impressive considering how new it turned out to be.
I’ve been thinking about going back just to try one of their milkshakes. Didn’t get one that night, but it’s definitely on the list. I’d absolutely recommend this place and hope to...
Read moreWe were lucky to be some of the first patrons of the One 40 Social, and it did not disappoint! The vibe is spot-on - modern, open, and buzzing with energy. Perfect spot for game night with friends. We grabbed a table near the ping-pong setup, which was a nice bonus you don’t find at most places. Service was fast and friendly, and you can tell the staff enjoys working there. Food-wise, the smash burger was killer - juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. My wife had the crabcake platter and was just as happy. We split a pizza too (because why not?), and it had that crispy-chewy crust that hits the spot. They have a large selection of draft beer and good cocktails. Definitely a new favorite hangout in downtown Chapel Hill - whether you're watching the game, local performer, or just looking for a chill night out with solid food and...

I’m pretty confident I’ve found Chapel Hill’s new best spot for chicken wings. The flavor instantly brought me back to 2021 in Miami—absolutely top-tier. And don’t even get me started on the New York-style pizza: real cheese, crispy crust, the whole deal. My son never eats the crust… but yesterday, he did. That says it all.
The pizza dough even reminded me of one I had years ago in Fiumicino, Italy. It’s clear this place knows what it's doing. The vibe, the food, the energy—it’s a whole experience.
I can’t wait to go back—next time for our ladies' night out, without the kids, so I can check out their bar and cocktail menu and don't control my little man looking for how to pull off...
