Yeah, I had high hopes. I had to come back. I ordered the Tikka Chicken and a side of Samosas. While I drove home, I devoured the Samosas. They were delicious. They were huge, flaky, dense, moist, and packed full of flavor. Honestly, I had never had a better Samosa—the potatoes were mashed with seasoning instead of cubed or chopped. I had never had it like that. I was so excited as I drove. I reside 25 mins away. I got home, and they gave me someone else's food. It was butter chicken. OK, no problem. I'll try it. However, it was flat. I mean no flavor or spice. In all fairness, it wasn't what I ordered, and it was intended for someone else. Maybe it was how they ordered it. The next day, I took my order back. I had eaten 2 spoons fulls. I wasn't given any pushback. They promptly replaced my Tikka at no cost. I showed them the bag with a different name. I also got 2 orders of Samosas and a lassi, too. I got home, and it was the same thing. It does have a tomato base, but no spice or flavor. It was very, very soupy. I was shocked.

I am only surprised because I work in banking, and all my coworkers are Indian. Their tikka is bomb. I mean, lips smacking delicious. I expected the food to be comparable. It was not. Then I realized they make this for the masses. I was very disappointed. I'm going to have to add the seasoning given to me by a coworker

The staff is very polite. It's clean and vibrant inside, but for someone who loves authentic cuisine, this was subpar. If you want to tiptoe and try Tikka without jolting your palate,...

Was visiting from out of town last week. Wanted Indian food so ordered dinner carry out from this place. Paneer Tikka Masala and veg biryani with naan and Masala Chai. Paneer was good but a small portion considering dinner portions are bigger than lunch. The naan was just okay. The worst part was the veg biryani. It seemed some boiled vegetables were just added to the biryani rice. No flavor at all. Did not taste at all like a biryani. I would not even give it a single star. The Masala chai was good. Next day on our way out we thought we will get Masala Chai again and ordered two chais. Oh my God, what a disaster 😫. We sat in the car and tasted the Chai, it tasted like "CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA ". I think the cook made it in the same pot that was used to make chicken. Being a vegetarian it was repulsive and felt like throwing up. Didn't have the time to go and get a refund, so I called the restaurant and complained about the tea and the veg biryani from the previous night. I told them that they should see how their chef prepares the food in the kitchen and they end up having dissatisfied customers. The only response I got was, "please leave a review on the website ". Very nice customer...

Had a craving for something Indian and came across Tikka Shack while walking around. Across the street from a park area, doesn't appear to have street parking around but there are lots to park in nearby. Set up inside similar to typical quick order businesses. They have tables/chairs to eat in as well. One cashier to order from, they have the menu on 3 large TVs above the cash register and have some physical menus to look at and order from too. They have biryani, curries, naans, even a Tikka pizza for food options. Some dessert options and drinks too. Prices appeared decent, can build your own curry order and ranged from $10 and up.

Went with the samosa appetizer, 2 samosas for $5 and comes with a small sauce for dipping. You can pay cash or card. While the cashier was friendly, it took almost 15 minutes for the samosas to be made. At one point I saw an employee call out asking why the samosas were taking so long. People that came after me were going in and out with food, and larger orders of food than what I made.

The samosa had a nice crunch to them, but they were sweeter in flavor than I would have preferred. Not sure if I would return to try...

Ordered food via Uber eats - 2 southern curries, 2 tikka masala, naan, samosa and mango lassi. The southern curries were not properly packed and spilled inside and the really interesting part is they packed the curries with rice inside and not separated, who does this? I think I know the answer - they just made one curry, put it into 2 boxes and filled the rest of the box with rice to inflate the quantity of the curry. But the most disturbing thing about the curry was their smell and taste, I believe the food was spoilt. We did throw them away and I'm not just saying that as I have attached photos as well. Let's go to tikka masala, this was literally tomato puree and cream and it was just horrible - calling this tikka masala should be a crime. Samosas were extremely oily and burnt as you can see from the photos. I'm angry that this sorry excuse of a restaurant has the audacity to charge customers for what is essentially substandard and subpar food. I refuse to believe the 5 star reviews written by other customers as I'm thinking that they were possibly paid for the reviews. This restaurant is not getting my money again.

I really love Indian food, so I'm happy to see a "fast casual" Indian restaurant in Charlotte. However, both times I've gone, I've had difficulty communicating with staff when I've had questions about the menu. No one could intelligibly explain to me the difference between the "lamb" and "lamb kheema" biryani options, for example. I ended up ordering familiar butter chicken. My companion did try the lamb biryani but we still don't understand what kheema is and wish we didn't have to actually order it to find out! Please provide descriptions or at least cashiers who are more articulate and knowledgeable about your food! Also, the interior is nice if you want to eat in, but it's deathly quiet, even on a Friday night with few other customers around. They could really use some music to liven up the ambiance! On another note, kudos for using compostable plates and cutlery, but there was no apparent sorting at the trash receptacles!
