I will start by saying that the drinks are superb. The bartender who was working during our visit was awesome. I have been in the past during trips to Chat and had a really great experience. This visit… most of the same, however, after looking around, and admiring the decor, as we had done in the past, we noticed an addition to the deer taxidermy on the wall… a noose. When we asked the very attentive bar staff about this, they noted that “the handyman determined that was the best way to ensure it stayed on the wall”. EXCUSE ME?! It seems the handyman knows exactly what he was doing and might be a little racist? We were informed that we were not the first party to notice this - and one might think that they might research a few different knots that would hold the deer up if it decided to fall...

Very caring bartender. Interesting decor of animals. Makes you feel like you are at your Southern uncles house. Cool menu of cocktails! In love with the name of it. Nice name to tag yourself in on socials because of the Southern meaning of it, esp if you are from somewhere else! If you sit at a table you may have to go to the bar to order your drinks. Really glad we found this gem! The atmosphere is fun and interesting, sort of a southwestern dive bar, meets Tennessee music icons, so much to look at on the walls. The bartender was great. She was fast on our orders, personable and engaging. I had the frozen Irish cream which was great on such a hot summer day.
