Mindy B's Deli — Restaurant in Chattanooga

I am still eating my delicious tuna salad salad as I write this. I am a student and frequently crave healthy options as UTC only has stuff like Chic-fil-a, Panda Express, etc. I try to cook my own food as much as possible, but sometimes time is an issue!

Anyway - I checked out Mindy B's Deli today after class. I have been to a few places searching for the ideal salad - well they have made it to #1. I love a veggie dense salad, so I asked for most of the toppings that were available. They did NOT skimp on the veggies and loaded me down. I added the herbed tuna salad as my protein. I was nervous about an overly mayonnaisey tuna salad. I am happy to say - this one was NOT that. It was some of the best tuna salad I've ever had. So flavorful. I have enough food for two meals. My salad = 10/10.

I also got the deviled eggs, which reminded me of my grandmothers. Also a 10/10. Nothing fancy, just some tasty deviled eggs.

My husband got the grass eater sandwich (vegetarian). He also said it was a 10/10, and I believe him because he refused to share even a bite lol. I will say it looked delicious.

Also, the service was great and the prices were also very reasonable for them being right downtown. I have a feeling I will become a regular during the days I can get there...

I have now gone to Mindy B's Deli twice. It's a great little deli with some great options to choose from on the menu. I was deciding between a couple of different items both times I went, and Mindy made some great recommendations each time.

First time I ordered the special of the month for January of 2024. It was a baked falafel burger that came with tahini, tomato, cucumber, onion and I added pickles to it. It had a very good flavor and texture to it that was similar to some of my favorite black bean burgers.

The second time, again from a recommendation, I ordered the Pineapple Express. This is a grilled wrap with chicken, barbecue sauce, pineapple, red onion, provolone cheese, cilantro and bacon (which I ordered without and instead added pickles). The grilled wrap was really nice and the whole thing is almost like a bbq chicken pizza in a wrap.

Last, the sides I got each time were just as good as the sandwiches. I could order just the grilled vegetables and that would satisfy me. Then the three bean chili I had today was perfect, especially with it being in the single digits outside. The broth had great depth and a lot of vegetables in it.

I look forward to trying some additional items off the menu and seeing what specials they have...

I am so disappointed with my sandwich that I ordered from there today for pick up! I ordered a cheese, lettuce and onion sandwich with oil and vinegar. When I picked it up it literally had a single slice of cheese, a single slice of lettuce and some onion with no oil and vinegar on white bread. I was expecting something more hardy; maybe with 3 slices of cheese! How do you forget the oil and vinegar? They're charging me more than 5 dollars for a single slice of cheese! What kind of sandwich shop is this? This is the third time I have been here and every time there has been a problem with my order. Last time I ordered 2 sandwiches and they forgot the second sandwich and I had to drive back. I work in the health care field I don't have time to drive back on my lunch break.
