Amazing Drinks, Stellar Vibe: A Cheers-Worthy Visit to Crown Republic Gastropub While we didn't indulge in their renowned food menu this time, our visit to Crown Republic Gastropub in Cincinnati for just drinks was an absolutely fantastic decision and a memorable night out. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was a perfect blend of sophisticated and welcoming. The space is stylish, with a lively but not overwhelming buzz—exactly what you want for a great night of conversation and craft cocktails. The bar program here is clearly a major highlight. We were incredibly impressed by the inventive and expertly balanced cocktail menu. Each drink we tried was a carefully crafted experience, moving far beyond your standard bar fare. They clearly prioritize high-quality ingredients and serious mixology. Whether you're a classic cocktail aficionado or looking for something truly unique (like their acclaimed and creative seasonal features), the bartenders are true artists. The service at the bar was also top-notch. Our bartender was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient, happy to offer recommendations and answer questions about the drinks with genuine enthusiasm. Crown Republic is the kind of place where you could easily settle in for an entire evening. If you're looking for one of the best spots in Cincinnati for an elevated and exciting drinking experience, look no further. Go for the cocktails, stay for the atmosphere. We'll certainly be back soon—and next time, we might even try the food! Rating for Drinks & Atmosphere: 5/5 Stars - A true Cincinnati gem for...

My girlfriend and I decided to come here when we were visiting the Cincinnati Music Hall for a ballet. There is a surface parking lot right next door and we parked in there for $20. There may have been some street parking near it but it looked like it may be hard to come by. We were greeted immediately when we walked in and the hostess was friendly and chit-chatted as we walked to the table.

Caitlin, our waitress came to the table promptly to take our drink order. I ordered a drink called a beautiful reciprocal agreement or ABRA for short. The drink was bourbon, brandy, lillet blanc, Amaro, maraschino, orange bitters, it was a boozy one but good. My friend ordered the Queen's Crown and if you like fizzy sweet drinks this was very good!

For our starters we ordered the duck fat hummus and also the onion soup dumplings. Neither one of us cared too much for the duck fat hummus as it was sort of heavy and just not our thing. The onion soup dumplings were delicious.

For dinner I ordered the steak and frites. My friend ordered the mushroom capellini. Both of our dishes were very good. My steak was cooked perfectly, a medium rare. There was a mountain of frites, I did not eat all of them. The sauce that was served on the side to dip them in was just okay nothing spectacular.

I did order another drink, I do not remember the name of it, it was pretty and tasty.

Caitlin was an excellent waitress. This is a pretty loud restaurant because of the high ceilings and we were also right next to the kitchen. All in all though it was a nice place to...

Delicious food and great service. A bit loud at times but overall a great experience. Our table started off with some drinks. The GBS was very refreshing with a zesty taste with the lemon and basil. I was told the Bloody Mary was a bit on the spicy side a little more zest was expected but it grew on them. The presentation of both drinks and some mimosas at the other end of the table were all very good.

It took a little time for the food but "my oh my" was it worth the wait. Every bite was deelish ... my wife and I split the CRG omelet and the Baked French Toast. For the omelet, we chose the Maple Sausage. Cooked to perfection, the taste of the eggs and sausage folded onto the goat cheese was a fantastic combination. And the crispy potatoes on the side were soft and hot on the inside and crispy/crunchy on the outside without being too greasy or dry.

The Baked French Toast could have been brought out later as a dessert but it worked out for a sweet and mix. It came with thinly sliced apples layered all over with a giant scoop of gelato to top it off. The gelato was half melted by the time it came to us and was so big, it slightly overpowered the rest. But the TASTE!! I seriously loved every bite. It was a work of art that completely satisfied the palette. Taste-wise, nothing was overpowering but worked seamlessly to bring out the flavors of each element. I could not see the Nutella in it but it blended so well with the cinnamon Apple Foster.

Great vibe. Great taste....

We visited Crown Republic Gastropub while visiting Cincinnati for a show at a local theater. The reservation was early (for us) at 4 PM. Upon entering, it was clear we didn’t need reservations as the tables were completely empty and only a few people at the bar. Regardless, the host chose to seat us in the very back corner of the restaurant right next to a curtain separating us from what sounded like the back of the kitchen. The staff in that area were so loud we couldn’t talk over them. They were using very inappropriate (racist) language. There was no need to seat us there and it made most of the visit uncomfortable. By the time we were considering asking to be moved the restaurant had filled up so there weren’t many options and we decided to sit through it. The food was decent. We started with the Burrata & Tomato Jam, the cheese had no flavor and the jam was way too sweet, this cam recommended from our server. It was a large portion and we did not finish it (because of the size and dessert taste). We next split a wedge salad that was excellent, the dressing and blue cheese were great. I ordered the stake and frites, the steak was about 40% fat and gristle, so most of it was thrown out. It was, however, cooked as I requested. The amount of shoestring fries was massive. They were tasty, but just too much. Atmosphere: 2 Food: 3 Service: 5 Overall: 3 If I’m in the area again, I might revisit, but not without checking out other spots first.
