Hogg Daddy's Beach Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Clearwater

Before we came down to Clearwater this time, we researched many restaurants and we're excited to try this place Two people in our party were satisfied with the sandwiches that they ordered, but said sandwiches ordered at other local places were much better. The portion of french fries served with the sandwiches look like it was meant for a toddler plate. Very skimpy. One person in our party ordered an Arnold Palmer. The drink was served in a small bar glass with a straw. Seemed weird glass size, found out after half of the drink was consumed that it contained alcohol. Although the person drinking it was of age it could have very well been served to a minor. Our server said that she was used to serving alcohol and just assumed that's what our guests wanted. Be careful with that! Are bill came and we were still charged for the alcoholic drink which I requested to be removed. I ordered a bowl of chili, and when it was delivered I questioned the delivery person about the size of the portion. It was a large coffee cup about 2/3 full of chili. She went back to the kitchen and came back and said yes that is a bowl of chili. Very small portion for $10. The chili was decent but not worth that price. I also ordered the Boss hogg potato skins. When when the potato skins were brought to the table they were extremely under filled and were actually the size of my young son's kneecaps. Again, a very small and undersized portion. This was the item on the menu that I was most excited to try and it was very underwhelming. My wife ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer and an order of coleslaw. Both of these items were tasty but came to a combined $20. I'm sure there are a lot of good things at this place has to offer. But based on our experience and other places we have eaten in Clearwater we will not be returning based on portion...

Wish there was a way to give them no stars. Worst dinning experience on vacation ever. It took 2 hours to get all our food and it still was not right. What little food we did get, don’t eat the Goudo Mac & Cheese, no flavor of cheese (just watery noodles, that looks pretty), the mashed potatoes has too many potato skins. Owner did not want to compensate for all the mishaps on their part. He said regardless of how long we had to wait and how many times (mind you 3 times) we had to send it back you have to pay for it. Even if you didn’t eat it. Sad part was it was not that busy and people that came in after us got their food, ate and left before us. Most definitely would never recommend this place.

To your response: No one was playing no games. Also I never said I wasn’t paying. I am one that did pay. So please don’t confuse me. Yes, I did say I was leaving you a bad review as I am because your service was awful. You should be ashamed of yourself and your busy for the way it is ran. We did know what we ordered you keep bringing the wrong stuff and even had to continually tell you the dinners that was left off. Maybe we would have ate the food if it was made right the 1st or second time or came in a timely fashion. But by the third time absolutely NOT or almost over a hour after of not getting it!!! Maybe if you paid as much attention as to who didn’t have food and the hair in the food (as you said the fish hair) which not sure how you do that on a chicken sandwich as much as you do this reviews it would have been a...

The food is ridiculously overpriced for next to nothing. The Beach Nachos with supposed chicken cost $14 and there was 3 strips of chicken with barely any cheese or toppings of any sort. And why are there avocado cubes instead of actual guacamole? The Buffalo boneless wings are $19 a pound and they came out cold! ( Not even served warm at the least). Our friends did not want to pay $1.00 for sauce they did not receive in time. Then the owner comes out and yelling foul, profane language in front of us and a pregnant lady! It also did not stop and got progressively worse while she was visibly very upset and in tears. Then also had his employees on this nasty profane language train and also said to us ‘’ so you came here and ate all the food and decided not to pay for anything’’…. Implies that this was our agenda all along. Also gives the excuse that sorry the amount of food isn’t to your liking due to us serving 600 guests. No. There was definitely not 600 guests at this establishment. We pay tooo much for barely any food! We work hard all day to enjoy a night out with friends for the Super Bowl and don’t get the amount food we pay for and deal with hostile management and service at this establishment.
