What's the Buzz Bakery — Restaurant in College Station

My mother got me out of the house on a rainy day and swore I would like the new What's the Buzz Specialty Coffee and Bakery. I remember 12 years ago sampling coffee from What's the Buzz at various places including farmer's markets and other coffee shops. It's awesome that they're now a fully established facility.

Shoutout to Alex who took care of us from the moment we arrived! She was energetic for a 2 o'clock slump and had wonderful recommendations. I ordered a brown sugar shaken espresso to mirror something I love at Starbucks and it was delicious. My mother loved her dirty chai latte. The sandwiches reminded me of Norma's Shoppe in Ridgewood, NY. The star of the show was the choco-flan, something I don't think I will ever see again.

There are only about 4 seating arrangements so this wouldn't be a great place to study but I do recommend it for its drive thru.

I appreciate the dedication to quality coffee roasting, and I’m sure it’s the finest coffee in town, but I’ve been here twice and had negative experiences both times. The first time we ordered a chicken sandwich, and after 20 minutes of waiting it was completely inedible. So stale the bread and chicken were rock solid and hard to eat. If you want quality matcha, forget it. The powder is dumped into milk like it’s a Yoo-hoo. Plus the almond milk always being curdled makes for a nasty clumpy beverage. Why put matcha on the menu if you’re not gonna learn how to make it correctly.

Waited a while to even be acknowledged. Did not see either employee up front wash their hands. One did half dozen orders and still handled trash without washing hands. When my order was finally ready it sat on the counter for a while until he ask if he could help me. He realized I was waiting for my order to get ready. Of course it was not hot and it was not very good even if it had been hot.
