Guthrie's Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

I am a transplant from San Francisco I’ve been in 1 million different bars and grills and I’ve managed bars and restaurants for 25 years Guthries is hands-down one of my favorite places on the face of the planet. You will feel like a local the second you walk in the door because everyone from every bartender to every regular makes you feel at home the food is ridiculous they smoke their wings! The best best wings you will ever have, so good there’s no sauce they make a homemade honey Sriracha sauce that they serve on the side or other sauces are available to but the wings are definitely a go to. I’m eating a cheeseburger from there right now, one of their employees delivered to me because I have Covid (contactless of course)and I couldn’t go get it. I wanted this place to be good but it isn't the best. It's not all bad. I like the location, I like that they have semi outdoor seating. They also have a lotto machine on scene which is cool. The beer was fine also.

It wasn't too busy but service took a bit. People smoke in the outside portion of the restaurant and it comes in the front door pretty often.

The food is where it really goes down hill. I had green chili fries and some wings. The wings have a great smoked flavor. I ordered it with sauce and assumed it would come tossed in the sauce, but it came on the side. Wasn't enough either. It came with celery and carrots, two tiny ones each, pretty lame. The green chili had no flavor at all. Very bland and not worth it. There was also some black chunk mixed in, no clue...
