Great smoothies and nice staff. Been here dozens of times, but NO MORE.
UPDATE: I wonāt be going back to this location. I parked my car in a space in front of the store at 9:40 am on a Saturday. Downtown was still empty. I ran in to order a shake and, while it was being prepared, I saw I was getting a parking ticket. I ran out and told the officer I was picking up a drink. He could care less. He gave me a ticket for $25 and we had a testy exchange. I CHOOSE to go downtown. I live west of the Springs about 25 miles way. But, NO MORE. There are parking meters everywhere that are effective all hours of the day and night. Iāll go get coffee, lunch, smoothies, dinners, shopping, any and all of the above anywhere but downtown Colorado Springs. Why pay a dollar or 2 to go downtown and risk a $25 ticket? And, I love going downtown, but, No More. Iāll visit Ola Juice Bar place on Garden of the Gods Road, which is far less convenient, but has coffee and FREE PARKING!
The homeless guy walking across the street can urinate in a storefront or in a park and nothing happens, except he gets a free meal and social services. You try to spend money and you get a parking ticket.
Further update. The Municipal Court Referee reduced my ticket from $25 to $5 after I filed a...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePLEASE READ! As we entered Ola in Downtown Colorado Springs a very rude somewhat smelly vagrant angrily told us we needed to leave because "they were going on lunch break" while another vagrant at the counter told us to ignore the vagrant who said we needed to leave?! KUDOS to the ONLY employee at Ola, a young lady (18 yrs old, give or take) having to put up with being harassed by two adult homeless men that she confirmed happened on a regular basis. SHAME on Ola for not ensuring her safety better. Prior to my wife and I walking in, she was completely alone with these two characters who were clearly and obviously not patrons. The brave young employee seemed a little out of sorts and worried. Why wouldn't she be? What could go wrong? I don't have enough disparaging and negative things to say to Ola, Ola management, Colorado Springs in general, or anyone else who would put someone in that position. If we ever stop by this location again, it will NOT be to patronize Ola, it will be to check on the safety of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām bummed about the new menu change. I liked the option of being able to make the bowls into wraps and I loved the Rutledge/Nissa/Beales. The menu is very limited now. Also the peanut sauce is soooo good but the consistency has changed and has the same consistency as peanut butter rather a than a liquid. I have to water it down before I pour it over my bowl. Iām always on the go and work close to downtown so not having the option to do a wrap and then having to alter the sauce myself makes it inconvenient when Iām grabbing lunch on the go. I also really miss the avocado medjool smoothie! I would try to recreate it in the build your own option but I donāt know all of the ingredients. I know every business goes through changes and has to experiment. I will still continue to go here because the food is always fresh great portion sizes and the employees are kind. The price of the food reflects the quality and it is still well worth it! I still love this place just thought Iād share my thoughts as a long...
