My family visited here while we were camping on June 21, 2024. There were quite a few of us, but we only ordered 3 pizzas and a kid's chicken strip meal for my 20-month old nephew.
We waited for over an hour only to find out that the staff was delivering our pizzas to another large party on the other side of the restaurant. Rather than the staff bring us the pizzas, the other party kept delivering our pizzas as they came out. After we had our pizzas, we were still without the kid's meal.
We asked multiple times if it was coming and the proceeded to tell us they didn't know what we were talking about and that we ordered pasta, not chicken strips. We showed them the receipt and talked with the cashier who assured us that it would be chicken strips. We waited and waited until after another 20-45 minutes, they finally brought my nephews food out. (Again, 20 months old, so he was starting to lose patience with everything at this point) He couldn't even eat it at this point because we were done and ready to leave, so we had to immediately put it in a to-go box for later.
We also noticed on the sign that the kid's menu was supposed to come with a complimentary ice cream, so guess what they didn't give us - the ice cream.
As far as the pizza goes, it was okay at best. The Dude Ranch was the superior of the three flavors we got, but every single pizza had mushrooms on them, which we weren't aware of when we ordered them.
We've come here multiple times over the years, and none of us need to go back. The staff was rude when we asked questions, they weren't organized in bringing us our food, it took way too long for food to be brought out, and we were missing part of our kid's meal order. Nothing was done to remedy all of the issues that we had during...
Read moreBeau Jo’s has been a family tradition for years, every time we have visited Steamboat, however I think this tradition has come to an end.
We visited over the July 4th weekend and were surprised at how few customers were there at dinner time - now I’m not surprised given our service and other reviews.
We ordered a large pizza, half veggie & half cheese. The server brought us a pizza with half veggie and half pepperoni. My family doesn’t eat beef or pork. After I informed the server that the order was wrong, the cashier brought the pizza to us, along with our ticket showing we had been charged for the pepperoni and insisting that it was what we had ordered. Not only did I have to argue with the cashier to get her to correct our order, she never offered to refund the overcharge for the pepperoni or accept any responsibility for the error. AND I tipped 20% on my overcharged order.
Pro tip Beau Jo’s (on top of my 20%) - when you mess up a customers order, accept responsibility and fix it. I didn’t care about the error, just the attitude of the argumentative cashier.
Pro tip for potential future customers - don’t tip when you pay, perhaps leave it on the table after they...
Read moreWe were looking for take out for our condo and after a quick search decided this was the place. So many great choices of pizza here and we selected about 10 (we had a large party). They happily accommodated us and gave us plenty of extras - dipping sauces, cheese, peppers etc. The staff was great. I am a connoisseur of pizza so was eager to try the Colorado crust! It is great!! Yes it is thick but being Colorado it is light and airy (think pastry) and makes a great dipping stick. We also ordered many of the prairie style pizzas and they are more “normal” looking but still would be considered thicker crust by most folks standards. Here too the crust is light and airy so not a filling as a traditional crust. The toppings were very good and we made some substitutions that they easily accommodated. One thing I would ask for is extra cheese if I had it to do over. There is plenty on there but the airiness of the crust can easily accommodate more. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but it was super cute and rustic looking - great place to relax it looked like. We didn’t eat pizza any other place on our stay in Steamboat but certainly glad I tried the...
