Fazoli's — Restaurant in Columbus

I used to come to this place a couple times a week until I realized the woman in the drive thru was overcharging me to upgrade my drink with the lunch special. I would ask for a large drink with my meal thinking it would be a small upcharge, she was charging me for a large drink in addition to my meal. I tried to explain this to her but her English wasn't the best and she was very argumentative about it so I stopped going their for about a month. I came through today and explained it to another manager and he gave me a card for $5 of my next visit which was fine although I realize she'd been over charging me for weeks, at least it was something. Unfortunately today my pizza was disgustingly greasy and my girlfriend who had only ordered a blue raspberry Italian ice was extremely sick after she drank it. Plus my soda was almost completely flat, and $3.50 is a lot for a drink. I told the manager and he couldn't fix it so I had to take it out so without. I'm really disappointed because I like Fazolis, I even worked their when I was young. It's a shame they will have to do without my business because I work too hard for such a poor meal. And on top of all that they weren't busy at all and it took so long to get my food that I didn't have time to eat it all. The girl working the drive through was also not very friendly. I even complimented her nails. It's ok she's a kid but customer service is important. Maybe I'll come back on a year and try it again but I've got to stay away and home they can do better...

What We Love: Buttery Garlic Breadsticks: These are a must-have and a family favorite. We can't get enough of them! Delicious Entrees: My husband and I always enjoy the baked penne pasta—it's simply delicious. Our daughter adores the fettuccine Alfredo, and our little boys love their spaghetti—one with marinara and the other with Alfredo sauce. Cool and Casual Atmosphere: The environment is perfect for a relaxed family meal.

Considerations: Price: While the food and atmosphere are fantastic, we've noticed a significant increase in prices over the years. It used to be that a family of five could dine for around $25, but now it’s closer to $50.

I love Fazoli's. So yeah the review is skewed already right? No way. You want something for lunch under $10 and not a greasy burger and fries, this place is it. A bowl of spaghetti or fettuccini, good bread sticks and a tasty salad. In general Fazoli's is a great deal for great tasting food. I visited this store in the past and it was just ok, not really jumping out at you. The flavor was meh, the staff was meh and I just reserved my Fazoli's trip for another store. Enter new GM and assistant, maybe even new staff. Familiar faces behind the counter, great service, friendly smile, hot food made fresh to order. What a difference 6 months can make. The restaurant for the past 3 weeks has been clean, no foul smells and I've gotten the same consistent product each time. Thank you Fazoli's for a great experience. See you again next week!
