Our server, Stephanie, was very nice. After ordering grilled chicken nachos with some extra pico on the side and also asking for the sour cream to be on the side and firecracker shrimp, we were expecting an enjoyable experience as always. The fire cracker shrimp was so delicious. When the nachos came out is when things went sour. There was no avocado and only 4 very bland jalapeño slices on the top of the nachos. The Pico that they served me had no cilantro or lime juice in it making the "pico" taste like tomatoes, a few chopped green bell peppers and onions. I called Stephanie over and asked about why it was missing the avocado. She informed me that they were out of avocado. So, I asked if she could bring some more jalapeños to give it some flavor bc there was hardly any cheese sauce just a bunch of lettuce and grated cheese on the nachos and very little chicken bites. I also asked if she could bring some cilantro bc the pico had zero cilantro or lime flavor. She went back to the kitchen, brought me 3 lime wedges and a small plastic to go type container of green flakes and told me they were also out of jalapeños. Before she walked completely away, I called her back and told her that this wasn't cilantro, this was parsley. Was the cook thinking they could pass off parsley, that has almost zero flavoring, for cilantro. Not on my dime! I asked Stephanie if I could speak with a manager. After about 5 minutes, a woman comes to our table to inquire about what I was not happy about. She wasn't super friendly, but neither of us came there that night to make any new friends. After talking to her about all the ingredients that they were out of to make the dish the way it is advertised on their menu, I suggested that they let the patron know this at the time that their order is being placed so that they could have the opportunity to order something different. Which I would have. The manager offered to give us a different appetizer in place of the bland nachos. We said firecracker shrimp would be great bc we could put it on the nachos so that the nachos didn't go to waste. When the dish came out, it was nothing like the first order they served us. The shrimp were so overcooked that I had to break off the overly crisp batter just to reveal the dried out shrimp that had brown burnt edges. I showed Stephanie how burnt the shrimps were and she agreed they were way over fried. I will not be back if this is how they are going to treat me when I wasn't in the wrong for serving a bland dish without many of the ingredients...
Read moreI’ve heard so many great things about Houlihans food and drinks. So last night, I decided to take my board of directors to a celebration dinner at this restaurant.
When we first go there, we were greeted by friendly host who escorted us to our seats. After being seated, we had a server who had just started. We were very nervous because it’s always a bad experience with first night servers but this guy proved us wrong. He was indeed so friendly and took our order.
We proceeded to order our drinks and food. Everyone at the table ordered a picture of Georgia Peach and then dinner. We waited about 10-15 minutes for our drinks. After we got our drinks, they were absolutely horrible. It tasted as if the sour mix wasn’t freshed.
So as the CEO of my business, I went in to talk to the bartender about the drinks but that was definitely the wrong decision. I waited at the bar for about 10 minutes before she recognized me being there. There was another customer waiting 15 minutes and never got acknowledged.
I patiently said something to her and she rudely said “I said I would get with you”…. She finally came back but I insisted for her to help the elderly guy who had been waiting.
After helping him, I began to tell her about our drinks. The bartender Kay Kay rudely told me it wasn’t her problem and I need to talk to my server. She didn’t even address the issue about the drinks just brushed me off as if I wasn’t a paying customer. One of the customers noticed it also and said “she, Kay Kay, been rude all night”.
I went to speak to the manager Kylin. She was super friendly and supported my group. She fixed the problem. We were about to leave and go elsewhere but only stayed because of the awesome server Tarin and manager Kylin. Thanks to them for making our...
Read moreVery poor experience, host jonas was rude acted like judas we basically set up our own table up. They brought out silverware and menus. We arrived with 8 for a party of 17. We were told we could not sit at the tables we moved until half of our party was there. He insisted that we had to until there were 9. The wait to get food was ridiculous. We had 2 servers half the table had wait forever for food. Some orders came out and went straight into boxes as the rest of the table had eaten. Then it took literally over an hour to check us out. Also to add to the poor experience at Houlihans last night. After about 40 minutes of waiting for our cards to come back my cousin asks what’s taking so long. They said it was because they had to check us all out and our server gave her all the cards. They split the table. Since when is ok to alter a receipt?! I mean we can all do math but where do they do that at?! And most importantly WHY was it done?! Of course when we asked for reprints the system was down. Yet everyone else was able to checkout still in the restaurant. They took the time to go through all 3 copies of our table of 17, scratch the total prior to gratuity on everyone. I promise everyone at our table is well rounded enough and has enough common sense to understand gratuity. I’ve never had a bad experience but yesterday was bad enough to make me NEVER want to go back to that location again. Like EVER literally from the host seating us, to the check out just poor. Including our interaction with the manager Josh. We were not given a resolution, but excuses on how he just fired a manager and he had been there all day and was tired. I knew when the host was acting weird about seating us we...
