August 23, 2023, at 8:35pm. Store location 14 mile Rd near the five expressway. I frequent this Jimmy Johns a lot, I work a 10 shift and this store is on my way home. I reached the store around 8:35pm today after my shift and ordered my usual sandwich. The store closes at 9pm, so I had 30 minutes before they closed. The two individuals behind the counter did not seem to thrilled that I was there, the one that took my order was polite, but the gentleman that prepared my sandwich was not so nice. As my order was being rung up, the gentleman preparing the sandwich slammed the lid to the cold cooler down, it was loud enough that the individuals walking outside going to the Yemen coffee house next door glanced in through the window. I do understand that I came in 30 minutes before the store closed, and that they had started to mop the floors and were in the process of sanitizing the counter top and prep area when I walked in, but there was no need to slam the lid and look annoyed. I left a 15 percent tip, I know that restaurant workers do deal with rude customers. That being said, these individuals should have locked the door early, if they wanted to close up shop earlier. Unfortunately, as others have mentioned it seems the customer service is not the best here. The problem I had was when I placed a delivery through their app, I see a $5-6 delivery fee - I think thats okay because I know they pay their employees. BUT upon delivery the driver didnt have any change for a 10$ bill.. so I was of course forced in this situation just to tip the extra $5 I should have got back in change. I have ordered pizza from a Hungry Howies before and didn't have an issue changing a 100$ bill ... This was only a few bucks she needed to change and could not. Read morePure lack of customer consideration, they had confirmed my order, for more then 1 hr I received 3 messages from the delivery service saying they were on their way, the last one said it would arrive in 7 minutes. Out of nothing I received a final message saying my delivery was cancelled, I called the restaurant and they said they didn’t had bread, I said they could have told me 1 hr ago, he kept repeating “right” and DID NOT CARE AT ALL for the order they had “confirmed” and “shipped”. They said they didn’t have my phone number but I was receiving messages all the time from the delivery service, I ordered through the app and all my data is available there.
