Leo's Coney Island — Restaurant in Commerce Charter Township

Worst Leo's Coney Island ever. I will never go to this location again. I ordered a simple carryout order of two bowls of chicken lemon rice soup where the waitress made sure to point out that I could leave a gratuity on my credit card, which I did. I was taking the bowls of soup to my Mom in the hospital and when I got there, I noticed she did not give us any crackers or spoons for the soup. I called to bring this to their attention and the server who helped me answered the phone and rudely said I should have asked for silverware as if it was my fault. She had no problem pointing out that I could leave her a gratuity, but she felt no need to ask me if I needed silverware or just put it in the bag? I've always been given silverware whenever I have ordered a carryout or at least asked if I needed it, it should not be on the customer to request something so necessary. I then spoke to the manager, who gave me the same attitude and said there is nothing she can do, but say she is sorry. Nothing you can do? Your establishment messed up, offering to make it right on my next visit would have been something. She also hung up on me as if I was bothering her. Do not give this Leo's Coney Island your business unless you enjoy being treated poorly...

This visit, while achieving the intended goal of providing afternoon sustenance, was rather disappointing. Not that I had high expectations, but going into a well known food establishment, you have a certain level of basic expectations. The food was edible and it was clean! However, some of the staff, whether it was wait staff or cooking line, had numerous communication issues. 2 of 4 of our meals were incorrect and/or missing items. When trying to correct one of them, the waitress was argumentative and easily flustered, causing her to rush away in the middle of speaking to her. Another waitress came over and finished up our table. The other incorrect order was not brought to either one's attention, for fear of causing trouble. Two of the bussing girls were talking about other staff members loudly and unprofessionally, making the few minutes they were by us rather uncomfortable. Couple those few minutes with the 'fiasco' that was trying to get an order right (more than twice) and the majority of the hour was not relaxing. Let's hope this was just an off day and not what it is like everyday! We do feel the other Leo's Coney Islands are a better...

We grabbed food yesterday night, we grabbed a Mexican omelette and some other awesome dishes and I walked into all my favorite cooks being there with the owner being one of them and walked into him and one of his cooks arguing very loud, frankly I miss walking into that and genuinely felt like I was at home brought back some awesome memories from last summer during lunch hours, yes that's right the entire old crew is still there just turns out they are working nights now and I'm so excited to find this out for that morning cook scared us away, although my buddies and I might not go enjoy lunch there, without a doubt we will come for dinner later today, and I must add the owner is a awesome man, I can't wait for him to be there in the mornings again so we can go back to enjoy not just dinner but lunch aswell, hands down favorite place to eat again, please thank the crew from last...
