Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Concord

After visiting Freddys tonight around 9pm, I was extremely disappointed in the service and cleanliness of this restaurant. Walking in we waited at the register while 4 of the employees hung out talking in the back of the kitchen ignoring us. Some of the people in my party had a gluten allergy and when asked if the custard was gluten free the lady taking our order answered no. After checking the website, I found that the custard was gluten free but some toppings are not. We then proceeded to make a second order and politely informed them it was gluten free and went on to waiting. Watching them make our orders they were sitting on their phones talking about how it wasn’t gluten free and whispering about our orders. Once our orders were done they placed it on the counter in front of the register and went about their business without calling our number or informing us that it was ready. We were very disappointed in this because our custard had been sitting there melting when we could have been eating. We had ordered 3 regular sundaes and 2 minis but when we received them 2 of the sundaes had the same amount of custard as the minis and had little to no toppings while one of the sundaes was full to the brim and presented very nicely. At this point we were disappointed in the quality of the food and service. But to make matters worse, while we were eating we looked up and saw a dead cockroach sitting on the top of the picture frame. In complete disgust we left immediately. While in the rush to leave we had left a couple napkins on the table that we didn’t use and an employee came out and yelled at us to “come back and throw our trash away”. I have never been so disappointed and disgusted by the quality of food, customer service received, and cleanliness of restaurant. I hope everyone takes this into consideration the type of service they’ll recieve and to keep your expectations low. We will not...

This Freddys location is very new. As a 1st. timer & last timer, I found the Staff was nice when they took drive thru order, however I'm not sure where the order went wrong after that... I ordered a $5- ($5.59$)Veggie Burger, which I was stoked to see on the menu. & thought for $5 bucks it's got to be good...The burger is obviously sent prepattied & frozen, and was 3/8ths of on inch thick, heated to where it felt luke warm, & was bun size. The bun, was Falling apart from being soaking wet. From I quess, not shaking the ketchup bottle before they added it to the bun. This is not in anyway an exaggerated review. And if all this wasn't bad enough, the very reason I began this review... The bun literally dripping wet from something clearlike....it was also almost as cold as ice, like water out of the fridge cold. Thank God I did not try eating this in my car (as it was night) and the hairs that were mixed into the burger itself, would have had me furious. And sickly. I also ordered a "kids" cheeseburger combo, for my 4 yr old. The combo was decent, if you like salty patties. I took a bite and that's what I tasted over the meat. Not sure again where they went wrong with that...was it on the factorys end over seasoning the product, or the grill guy/gal? it was just too much, however my...

I met friends here to grab a bite to eat earlier today. The restaurant was clean. We were greeted when we came in.

Our food was ready not long after we placed our order. The food was hot but not so hot that we couldn't enjoy right away. I ordered the double patty melt with grilled onions. I didn't realize it was made on rye bread. I was pleasantly surprised when I took the first bite.

A few employees came by to see if we were ok. The only drawback: ants. There was 1 on the table & 2 on the wall not long after we sat down. By the time we were leaving, there were 6 or 7 on the table & a few on the wall. If you zoom in on the tabletop picture, the reddish brown you see are ants. The ones on the wall moved right before I took the picture. The dark spot under the window sill is an ant.

They're fire ants. I know it's been unseasonably warm lately, but if that many ants were at our table, I'm sure there are plenty more at the restaurant. This issue was the only reason I didn't give 4 stars.

I almost forgot. I ordered a mini turtle sundae to go. I was supposed to go & get it, but the young man who took my order was kind enough to bring it to me. He may have forgotten that it was to go. I asked him for a lid & he brought it...
