For everyone who loves America's servicemen and women, our beloved veterans, skip to the end of this review, help me share the love with them. From you!
McP's Irish Pub is located on a bustling street surrounded by cute shops and restaurants with a nice view from every angle.
On the weekends, you and your family can enjoy free live music on the patio. The house bands are top notch and probably playing one of your favorite songs.
McP's serves large portions of tasty Irish classics and hearty American diner favorites.
My friends in the Navy have loved this place since I was a kid. Imagine getting dropped off in the middle of the ocean by helicopter and swimming back to a pain filled day of training on cold ice blocks yo better serve the safety of people who need help... Buttery Sheperd's Pie and juicy steak-quality cheeseburgers really hot the spot after doing the hardest workouts on planet earth!:)
I am super grateful I am to this McP's for taking such good care of our American heroes and their families here over the years. Check out a museum-quality framed American flag and it's beautiful history inside the restaurant!
I recently came here immediately after participating in the moving forward 5k race alongside THOUSANDS of people in San Diego who raised over two hundred thousand dollars to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Fireworks
This is a great place to refuel after a solid workout. I saw a few marathon runners enjoying the food, music and good vibes which made me smile.
I need to give a hug to all the wonderful staff who work here for making special accommodations for my foster pup. Giving a big order of complimentary bacon to a crying dog who has PTSD.. is REALLY special!:)
I took a few nice pictures of American flags flying at and around this restaurant when I arrived.
I recent years, I have taken over five thousand pictures of American flags in my community from people who love and support American soldiers and veterans. Each picture represents ordinary people who offer their support and gratitude to our heroes. Included in this photo book are THOUSANDS of military tributes, perks, discounts offered to active duty military personnel and veterans, which represents millions of people who love and care about our heroes with ALL THEIR HEARTS.:)
Along with a little help from my friends, I am compiling the best pics into an American flag collage so I can gift a poster sized postcard from all of us to VA centers. Lke a big hug from our community to show how much we care.:)
I'll be dedicating my profiles on maps, meta, YouTube, and beyond to spreading the love we have for our heroes and each other. World travelers on GOOGLE MAPS, you have helped me so much with my life and this mission. Thanks so much for everything you do and for being you!
Fries are crispy and tasty. Burgers are big enough to share and made with high quality beef. Sandwiches are generously piled high with protein. Everything is good here. Especially the people here. Above and beyond. Five...
Read moreThis is a disgrace to the Military and to the United States. Greg McPartlin would be ashamed of his legacy. My great-grandfather was coast gaurd, my two great uncles served in Vietnam, my husband was Navy, and my brother a Purple Heart, 3 tour, sole survivor in Iraq. All of these men offered their lives and wellbeing to this Country and it wasn’t for these fools at Mr. P’s! Here is what happened:
I had just signed up to volunteer to help SEALS’ families with a friend at a local non-profit, so I decided to grab a drink at this local Seal’s Pub when I was nearby.
The bartender overheard me comment how weird it was to see a man standing at the bar with a baby. She went straight to him and pointed me out, saying that I didn’t want him there because I had a problem with his baby. He cursed at me so loudly across the bar, everyone there heard it! A string of curse words and get the F out.
“What did you say to me?” The man next to me I was speaking with said if you didn’t hear it that’s for the best, then offered to buy me a drink. I thought it was over, but nope! For the next 45 minutes these folks wouldn’t stop talking about me having an issue no matter what I said they went on and on. I’m not honestly that interested in the man’s pathetic parenting or why they allow babies or what their zoning issues are. Remember I wasn’t talking to the bartender or the man or his wife, sister or his group of friends, only making an observation to the friendly man I sat next to.
What’s the issue here? Most bars don’t allow babies. The name is Mr. P’s PUB. Which means BAR. It’s really weird to see a BABY at a BAR! Geez Louise, what is the problem?
I don’t know but, they kicked me out. I was told I was ‘bothering everyone.’ When I spoke to the manager about it a week later, I was told it NEVER HAPPENED and don’t come back! He said he’s already read my Yelp review. That’s actually how I got the idea to post this! So, this is happening often? What in the world?! Men who verbally assault women don’t deserve the title MAN and no military personnel should be allowed to act this way towards civilians and for this establishment to CONDONE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN is a disgrace to the Military and to the United States.
I’ll be contacting the BBB and the...
Read moreStopped by here on the way out of Coronado after spending a few hours on the strand. The place was busy, but we got seated right away. They currently offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was all masked up, but i noticed that nobody was enforcing the patrons to wear their masks when walking past other tables. :/ I'd say maybe less than half of the people dining had their masks on when they were walking by. The menus are printed on large posters hanging on the wall, or there are little stands on each table that have a QR code you can scan to get the menu on your phone. The staff was really friendly. We got our drinks and food in a reasonable amount of time. Our waitress did come back and check in on us. :) The food looked amazing when it came! I got the Ol' Dubliner burger, which unfortunately came over cooked and to be honest quite flavorless. The corned beef on it was delicious though! I'd come back just to have a proper corned beef sandwich. My friend got the pub nachos, with a few modifications for minor allergies. Unfortunately one of the items not listed in the menu for the nachos was tomatoes, which I personally love on nachos! But she is mildly allergic (in fairness, she did not mention to our waitress that she had allergies). The pico did come on the side, so that was ok. The portions were decent for both meals. The last complaint was when we were done and ready to go, it took quite a while to finally get our check. It probably wouldn't have been as noticeable if it was a nice day out, but the sky started to turn gray and wind picked up. So since we had chosen outdoor dining, we were freezing and ready to go lol Our dishes had been cleared and our table empty for a while while multiple servers walked by. Not one stopped while I'm guessing our server got busy inside. Then same thing happened when we put our payment down and we were waiting for them to take it. Not a single other server was willing to...
