I've been holding off in reviewing cause I love chipotle, I travel for work and usually eat chipotle in the city I'm in about 3x a week. This location hands down is the absolute worst. From undercooked rice, out of ingredients in the middle of the day, being understaffed to literally trashed floors. Its like managment is non-existent or just completely checked out. I drive over here just to literally assess how defunct the operation is that day and then weigh out whether I should just go to freebirds, which 9 times out of ten is what I end up doing even though It don't taste as good, but everything else is on point. Maybe corporate should hire whoever is managing Freebirds CC and get them to fix this mess.
10-1-24 update 6:45pm out of steak, floors and tables are gross and all aguas Frescas plus sweet tea is empty, also rice was undercooked. in the 15 min i was here 20+ people left cause of no steak. I think this place hates its customers.
10-28 update:11:25 am they are out of white rice and no burritos lunch rush hasn't even started yet. I like how they wait to tell you after wasting time in a line. Management is either non existent or just dont care. Thanks for wasting my time once again chipotle. Omw to freebirds.
11-27 update: around 11am, i have to say this was my third time coming here in November and it seemed this chipotle had turned it around, the place wasn't short staffed and the floors were clean and the aguas frescas were full and the trash bins were emptied. Today I even saw a manager (I assume by the attire and watch on his wrist) and he made my burrito. all in all it was a very pleasant difference from before. I would of changed it to 5 stars if that burrito didn't give me the foulest case of food poisoning ever experienced, fluids going in are coming straight out. I'm still in it now almost 12hrs later, it has to be the rice or the cilantro something has ecoli in there. I was trying to make this work chipotle, but I'm afraid it's over. Like a bad relationship I gotta end it before I meet my end with you. Goodbye forever, I will remember...
Read moreLong lines. Rude employees. I walked away with no food.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, my first issue was the long line. Now, even though this is typical, it is still extremely frustrating. After waiting over 30 minutes to get to the front, I overhear a customer ask, "Is all you have chicken?" The employee replies "yes" and then I proceeded to ask,"Do you have any steak?" To which the employee replied "no there is some on the line for door dash, I think." I swiftly said,"and you couldn't put up a sign?". I was met with the employee rudely rolling her eyes at me and saying, "we ran out of steak an hour ago."
I asked to speak with the manager & the employee purposely waited to ask someone else to find the manager. At thos point, the customer behind me says, "It seems you'll have to wait even longer at this rate," and I agreed with her. Glancing over, I see the employee mouthing words and rolling her eyes. It's at that point the manager arrives and I ask to speak to him away from the employees. I explained that I'm not upset that they ran out of a product. I fully understand how that happens, I tell him his employee said they ran out hours ago. I then asked why they couldn't put a sign out & I've seen signs out before. The manager explained it was recently against policy to put a sign up. So I explained, "That's fine, and ask, but how does that stop you from verbally and audibly explaining that to customers?" To which he had no response to.
I told him I basically waited in line over 30 minutes just to be met with subpar rude employees who could not do the most minimum thing and tell a customer they were out of a product. To which he apologized and I will state for the record, the manager wasn't the issue at all. The food being out even isn't the problem. The fact is they were out of something an hour ago, and the burden fell on the customer to wait in a severely long line to find out & that...
Read moreWorst experience ever. I’ve been eating at chipotle since it opened its first location in Denver. This was, by far, the worst experience I’ve ever had.
The service was incredibly slow. When we arrived, there were three people at the line ordering, and a family of three in front of us. It took us 25 minutes to get through the line and back out the door. It was not due to staffing. There were six ladies on and around the food line, one guy running meat prep and two ladies in the back chit chatting while peeling some sort of vegetable.
We would have eaten in the restaurant but every single table was dirty. Not just a little bit, but covered in food, trash and handprints. So we ate in our vehicle.
The white rice was a complete solid mass of overcooked rice. It looked like rice paste. My husband asked for brown rice and received a loud sigh and eye roll from the employee who had to walk to another area to get it since it was empty on the main line.
We ordered the carne asada and it was so tough I could barely chew it. My husband, who has teeth issues could not eat it at all.
The chips were definitely from yesterday. They were terrible.
I used the restroom while we were there and nearly slipped on water on the floor. I informed an employee who said “okay” and kept on doing what she was doing.
Our total was $46.67 for two burrito bowls, chips and guac and two large drinks. I understand everything is getting more expensive, but this is ridiculous. For context, we ate at a well known steakhouse last weekend. Two full steak dinners and two sodas and our total with tip was $56 and we had a 100% greater experience. We will sadly never return to this restaurant that once was my favorite...
