First, let me say that I love the business model of this place. I really hate getting nickeled and dimed at other pizza places for toppings. Are that many onions really worth $2.00, considering you put FEWER pepperonis to make room for them, Dominos? I’ve eaten here a few times, and the crust is always top notch thanks to Nick the oven-master, but sometimes, depending on who is applying the toppings, the evenness of distribution of the toppings per slice can vary. That’s why I decided to write this review. There is an employee at this location who practices perfection in pizza topping placement. Upon previous visits, we may get someone who gently sprinkles the toppings around the pizza with one hand, or worst case scenario, we might get someone who takes a fist of toppings and slams them down on the dough like he thinks I’m a scout for the NBA (I am NOT). But today, watching a lady named Emma hold a handful of toppings in one hand, and gently sprinkle them onto the entire area of the pizza with the other, let me know that she not only cares about making sure each slice gets the love it deserves with regards to cook consistency, but also that the appearance of the pizza is as inviting as its aroma and taste. Seeing her individually peel back the pepperonis and pieces of ham, and place them down singularly and gently onto the pizza was mesmerizing. One issue I’ve had while eating fast food is that people cut corners on quality to save time, but the end result doesn’t look appetizing and is often a mess to eat. Taking a few extra seconds to make sure the pizza is perfect lets me know that Emma doesn’t just care about making her employer happy, but also that she cares about making the CUSTOMER happy. Please keep her, give her a raise, promote her to train others, or whatever it takes to keep the quality of MOD Pizza’s dining experience as high as the...
Read morewe go at least once every two weeks… food. good, maybe more now? But the real reason I’m writing this review is because of JENNY! (I really hope I’m spelling it correctly, with all the amazing service I would feel like a horses ass if I got it wrong)
She is literally the best type of person!. The first couple times we went to Mod, was a little thrown off. Didn’t have the best experiences, not the worst either! It just didn’t feel like the best pizza ever, until Jenny started making our pizzas, we love her!
She is incredibly sweet, ha ha knows the difference between a “little” & “A LOT PLEASE”, Is thorough and you can tell she takes pride and how she makes your pizza, she set the bar hehe. aside from just being the best worker I can imagine, thank you for your attitude every single time. Working can suck, days get rough, I appreciate that you put a smile on my face every time I come in, bc I don’t know you nor you me but wow. You’re as good as the pies! (You were the nicest person to me on one of the roughest days, so bless you)
The restrooms are usually clean, the teas are tasty, cakes moist, sauce sections great. The majority of the staff that we have seen over the last year +, Are all freaking awesome! I wish I knew the names of the the kick ass workers that hold together MOD. 🙏 really thank you so much.
& you Ma Jenny, You make our day, Jenny, from the service to how you make my extremely complicated and overzealous MegaDough mod pizza, you’re wonderful and I hope that you get some sense of happiness and also a raise, you def deserve it & You’ve been the highlight of our nights so much we come half for the good food & half for the...
Read moreAfter months of excitement that Mod Pizza was coming to Corpus. I placed an order online and headed to pick it up. I entered the store and was not greeted by anyone. I stood at the register and was finally acknowledged by an employee. They went to retrieve my order and dropped three items from the bag onto the floor. The items were picked up and placed back into the bag. Then the bag was brought to me as if nothing happened. I questioned this employee as to wether they often serve customers food that was dropped on the floor. I was met with an eye roll and they simply walked away. Another employee helped me replace the dropped food, but neither expressed any kind of remorse or concern. I took the order and left but placed a call to speak with the store GM. After getting the run around by several employees I finally got someone that said they were the gm. This person sounded annoyed that I was even calling. I expressed that to this employee but was told that they were sorry that I’m too sensitive. This store does not meet Mod Pizza standards and it’s sad that ill trained employees and staff can ruin such a great restaurant. Hopefully corporate will step in...
