Went to this restaurant, atmosphere was great. supper cold with the AC at 60 degrees couldn’t enjoy ur conversation cause it was supper cold. Server came to our booth asked us what would we like to drink, I responded do you have any frozen margaritas, she like yes and turned around and pointed to the bar saying they’re over there, I asked ok what flavors do yall offer she like I don’t know cause I don’t drink, I then replied understand but you as a server should know what alcohol beverages you all sale, and flavors. So I said just a strawberry margarita will do for me, then she’s like do yall want to order or order any appetizers I said yes, ordered the fried zucchini and said extra ranch and buffalo sauce, hot please, So I can dip my fried zucchini. Then the menu states ask for butter garlic bread, so I did, bread never came she brought our appetizer then immediately ask if we were ready to order our food, mind you we haven’t even prayed for our appetizer yet. So I said give us time. She walked away, then minutes later returned to the table and asked are we ready to order. So I had two choices Red beans and rice with a southern fried fish or chicken gumbo. I order the red beans and rice with fried southern fish…. Our meal came out the PRESENTATION a disappointment it was a mouth dropping shock. It was a side of red beans, 2 links of andouille sausage on the side of the red beans and 2 ice cream scoop of white rice next to the red beans, and a jalapeño in the middle of the 2 scoops of white rice next, and 4 fish nuggets. Very disappointed. The manager came to the table asked if everything was ok.. I replied NO , I explained the problem that I order and he’s like I have no control over the presentation of the dish, and then he offered that he could take it off the table for me and you can pick a different dish… or whatever you want to do just let me know and walked off. First of all, If I was the manager of the restaurant I would have apologized and suggested different dishes and try to fix my dishes and dinner. But he didn’t have interest in making it better for me. In fact he blamed others and acted like he didn’t want to fix the problem in making me happy. It’s a new restaurant and I suggest that u train your servers and management on how to educate and train for when a complaint comes their way how to handle the situation with the proper empathy to show customers they are valued and u are truly sorry. Also servers need to need to know what yall sell and suggest an item off the menu. The server said she doesn’t drink thats fine proper answer would have been I’m not a drinker but I do see a lot of people ordering such in such. Item. I will never return to this restaurant, here in Corpus Christi, Tx I also have pictures of the menu and of my dish. To...
Read moreThis restaurant goes above and beyond expectations. My family came to eat here on Sunday night and immediately from the interaction with the hosts I knew it’d be a good experience. They were very busy and had 3 large party’s enter before our party of 7 walked in. Yet they found a way to make us up a table so we wouldn’t have to wait an hour for seating. We sat outside on the patio which was very well decorated and the breeze made it such a pleasant area to eat at. Here’s how our service went from there: Our waitress was super sweet and very attentive, my husband and brother got drinks from the bar and said they were great, our appetizers were great, all of our food came out perfect and delicious, even all our kiddos loved every bite, we never had to ask for refills, and we had everything we needed brought to us quickly and with a smile. It was my brother’s birthday and to our surprise the whole staff signed him a card, the restaurant played a birthday song, and brought him out a huge ice cream sundae. After dinner the kiddos wanted to play on the pirate playground that is located beside the patio and it was so clean and “very fun” according to the kids. While we were watching our kids play the manager came out to ask our experience, I had told her we were visiting the area and this was the place we had voted to try and we had loved every bit of it and that we would definitely come back if we were in the area. She told me they had only been open two weeks and I was so shocked. All in all the experience was amazing but for the place to be that smoothly run and everything down to a tee in the two weeks of being open is absolutely incredible. We will definitely be back in the future. Give this place a try and you...
Read moreHad an AWESOME experience at Landrys Kitchen. We learned about it at the Corpus Christi Hooks game where they had a booth and were handing out free appetizer card. I'm glad the booth was there just because even with just handout, I would have thought it was Landrys off of Shoreline. We come from out of town. The young lady made sure to point out it was Landrys Kitchen. We came right after swimming and fishing. Our waiter had multiple tables but always came to keep us informed and to bring refills etc. Even the Manager stopped by the table and introduced himself and offered assistance. That caught us by surprise. A nice surprise. For our appetizer we ordered the Fried Zucchini...sooooo good!! Our meals were good. Loved the clam chowder soup!!! For me, the shrimp po boy, i may not order that again only because just to much bread, too thick to bite into so just picked out the fried shrimp and ate them. It was a combo meal which I liked the soup sandwich combo. My husband had the gumbo which he truly enjoyed. My brother had the shrimp/fish combo platter. He couldn't finish it...good size portions. The atmosphere was really nice! The air temperature was just right, i thought for sure i was going to freeze since I came in not completely dry from the swim, but it good temperature in there. Also if you are a "Fetch" member, card was honored here. Definitely will come back when In town again. Very easy to get to, almost on other side of the mall. Although did not need today, noticed handicapped parking available as well....
