I've been to the Oakway Center location and have now had the pleasure of eating at the Corvallis location. Both take the same amount of care and time into cooking and preparing food. All associates are welcoming and attentive. Sometimes with these franchises one or a couple seem to follow suit but others kind of do their own thing, which is fine, but with Pastini it seems they take pride in what they've created and they want their business to be consistent. For our 6 year Anniversary my husband and I went to the State Fair in Salem and then we took a drive to Corvallis where after driving around a few minutes to see what options we had we chose Pastini. So glad we did, the food was amazing as expected and the service was great. If you haven't been, try them, you won't be disappointed. What we ordered: Fusilli Alla Roma-chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, roasted garlic, parmesean cream sauce, grated parmesean Fusilli with Asparagus and Lemon Cream-light lemon cream sauce, toasted hazelnuts, and parmesean Spumoni for dessert

I loved Pastinis but was disappointed in my experience tonight. After waiting about 15 mins for bread, I finally asked about it and apparently they stopped doing free bread as an appetizer and charge $2.75 for it to be brought out before your meal. The price of my entree already went up $2 or $3, and we just sat their bored waiting for food which made the service feel slow as heck. They did bring my food out with two pieces of bread (which was about evquivelant to what we would have gotten as the app before) and came back like five mins later and said, “Oh- I forgot- you get one piece of bread with your salad.” And left a sad piece of break on a plate. I had to ask for the oil and vinegar, too. Super weird. The girls was nice enough but service was slow and It feels like they are nickel and diming people. Bummer!

I really like the food here. The Gorgonzola tortellini, butternut squash ravioli, and the Fusili alla Roma are all very good dishes. I also love the Parmesan bread appetizer. The braised short rib ravioli was a bit too rich so it wasn't my favorite. The last few times I've been, its been quite busy, so service hasn't been the fastest. But they are always very nice. I definitely prefer the dining-in experience from the take-away, since I think the dishes just shine better. This is definitely the best italian place in Corvallis that I've tried so far. Its great for groups or a date night.

I LOVED the food. The two stars are for the service. I usually go for lunch, and the servers then are excellent. The restaurant was practically empty. We thought that was great. Maybe it is because we are not dinner regulars. Our area had no one. She came promptly and asked for drink orders and was going to come back with a sample for us, but she never came back. She never brought us a bread basket. She never came back to get our order. We waited and waited, and I kept looking for her as two other couples and a family filled in our section. I kept thinking that maybe she forgot about the sample; but I think she totally forgot about us. She did appear with many drinks and bread baskets for all the other tables who had arrived long after us. I saw her coming toward us with at least a bread basket, but she put the sample of the drink that I thought she had forgotten and turned her back to us to give the much later arriving couple a bread basket, salads, and wine when she had not even taken our order! I asked her, "Can we please order?" She almost acted surprised. I had to beg for the bread basket too. We overheard the manager in training talking to one of those couples who had come in long after us, and she said, "I like to talk to all the regulars." So I am thinking we are not regular enough to get service. When I finally complained to the hostess and eventually to the manager who asked us how our meal has been, they bent over backward and were quick about everything; but the waitress never apologized and never gave an explanation for why she ignored us. The manager was very nice. He took off things from our meal charges, he said, "She obviously messed up," but I am still sitting at home wondering why she disappeared. We have decided we need to ask for bread right away to get things rolling, clarify that indecision about a drink choice does not mean we do not want to order and give them our order while we have them because they may not come back. It was one of the strangest service experiences I have ever had. I have never had to beg so hard for everything. Kudos to the very nice manager and hostess. The waitress was also sweet-natured, but explanations are always helpful in these kinds of situations. I have to let it go and...

Food was amazing and hot! Total bill came out to about 70 dollars for 2 entrees 2 sides and 2 drinks and a kids Mac and cheese. I wasn’t a big fan of my beer that I had gotten and something else on the drink menu caught my eye so I let the waiter know I wasn’t the biggest fan of the beer and wanted to order the maple whiskey sour. She took my beer and brought out the WS and it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever had. The garlic bread is the best I have ever had and the service is absolutely amazing. Me and my fiance brought our 2 kids in 2.5 and 2 months. We brought our 2 month old in in her car seat and it wouldn’t fit in the booth so we just set her on the ground. Without asking our waiter brought out a car seat cradle so she wouldn’t be on the ground and was at our level with us! Amazing everything all around . When I got the receipt I was very surprised to see that the beer I had previously ordered was comped and was no charge to me. Will definetly be going back...
