I order from here quite often for meetings for my job, I've only ordered delivery in the past, and planned to do so today, as well. I needed to add something to a sandwich and there was no option to do so online, so I called the restaurant directly. I spoke to an employee there and completed my order, she also informed me that delivery was unavailable due to the restaurant handling a big catering event, ok, no problem, I told her I would pick up the order myself.
When I arrived, the restaurant was not very busy, especially for it being lunch time, with the exception of the employees working on the catering order. I stood in the pick up line to pick up my order behind two other people. I waited for 5 minutes, and noticed no acknowledgement to the others standing in line or myself, despite there being about 12 workers behind the counter and at least 4 workers walking back and forth. I waited another 5 minutes before I asked the gentleman in front of me if he was there for a pick up order to make sure that I was standing in the right line. He assured me that he was also waiting for a pick up order. After seeing one of the workers pass by again I asked who was where I should pick up a pick up order from and he said, "Right there.", pointing to where I was standing and then I asked who I should ask for my order and he pointed the back counter and said, "One of them.", and he turned and went on about his business. The gentleman in front of me had to pretty much reach across the counter and look for his order because no one asked if he needed help. I finally just loudly asked, "Hi, where do I get a pickup order for Valerie.", and someone finally turned out to look at me, he looked for my order, asked if it was paid, I assured it was as I grabbed my bag and just left.
I expressed the bad customer service to my employer and I doubt we will ever place any meeting orders again. Delivery I guess is good with the restaurant, because the customer service in person is not what I would...
Read moreReally declined recently. The prices went up and quality went down. Sandwich is roughly $11-13 depending on what you get. Chips are not included anymore. You can pay $2 for just a regular bag of potato chips, they used to be house made chips and were included. No one on the planet has ever paid $2 for a small bag of chips and thought, I am happy with this purchase. Looking at $13-$15 for a sandwich and essentially a bag of lays. Then their checkout service doesn't offer you the option of no tip. I spent a very long time in the restaurant industry myself and I will always tip, but I don't like it basically being forced upon me. So not you're looking at about $15-$17, maybe more if you are super generous with your tip, for a sandwich and a bag of chips. Not worth it. Go somewhere else. There are plenty of other places around...
