Gaston Donuts — Restaurant in Dallas

There's no reason these donuts should be as inexpensive as they are because they are absolute perfection in look, flavor and texture. The man and woman who work there (and presumably own the place) were so welcoming and kind. The best part, hands down, was when I ordered the maple cream donut and was asked which filling I wanted (pastry cream or jam) and then watched the man pipe the fresh filling into the donut. No surprise, it was the best one out of the bunch... but not by much because it's hard to compare...

Honestly, I haven't sorted out the offerings at this donut hole. But, I found their hefty egg/sausage/cheese biscuit to be of burger proportions, and tasty as well as filling. I live right next door to Gaston Donuts, but I seldom go because they close at noon. I plan to remember in time to go get me a morning donut. I made it in at 11:00 and the cases were starting to look thin. I long to see them full! I'll be back to update...
