I tried for the last few days to get a Thanksgiving day reservation for their lunch/dinner buffet while visiting from CO. Nobody EVER answered their phone...that should have been the first indication to NOT go to this restaurant. Based on what they claim is available to do (pool tables, fooseball, ping pong, watching football on one of 28 tv’s, bowling) in their restaurant we decided to give it a try. We got there around 1:30pm...restaurant is half full yet still waited 10 min to be sat. We asked the hostess if we could sit at one of the empty tables with a view to the game...were told ’no those would be taken’ so we sat in the only section with no view of one of those tv’s.
Kids were bored and decided to go play some games. There’s no bowling, no ping pong, both pool tables are occupied and the fooseball table would be monopolized by one family for an hour plus.
It then took our waiter (literally) 20 min before he finally came to the table to tell us he’d bring us some water to get started (the glasses were already on the table, just needed to bring the pitcher around). Another 20 min later, he brings an almost empty pitcher of water and fills each glass about a third then takes our drink order..2 cokes, 1 club soda with lime and an iced tea with sugar. We are finally given the ok to help ourselves to the ($39/person below average) buffet.
Another 10 min before the cokes and iced tea arrive (with no sugar, had to ask). Still no more water. Another 15 min, before he appears again, we have to request him to remove the dirty plates. He disappears for s while again. Still no club soda, (and no sugar for iced tea) he had to go check...and no refill on the waters. Another 10 min and finally get what appears to be a club soda with lime juice (blah). Decided not to even try to get it corrected since it took nearly an hour to get it. Have to ask him again to take plates. He disappeared again and my husband had to get out of his seat to literally yell/wave him down to get his attention.
We are still waiting for fooseball table, same family monopolizing. We finally gave up and left. But not before paying the $178.61 bill...completely NOT WORTH IT. We would have had a better dinner at Cracker Barrel for a fraction...
Read moreThe service is tragic. The cocktails are watered down. You can probably get better drinks, food, and service at Chili’s. There was no hostess, stood at the stand for a good three whole minutes. No one acknowledged us. Had to flag down a bartender to be seated, keep in mind we had a reservation and were on time. Once we were seated, it probably took about 10 minutes for anyone to approach the table. Once he did he only came back once to take our orders then disappeared for the rest of the night. Both me and my friends drinks were extremely watered down. Our food came and was missing the dressing I specifically requested. Came down to eating & we realized we had no napkins or utensils... considering the server disappeared, we had to get up & steal a batch from another table. Food was not bad but was really underwhelming. We had to flag him down for a to go box and the bill. Server printed my bill twice (the more expensive bill) and gave it to my friend too. When my friend brought it up, he said “I knew it was weird y’all had the same total.” So he saw the problem, was too lazy and neglectful to read the bill and look at the orders but didn’t fix it. Never asked us how the food or drinks were considering he pretended we didn’t exist after taking our orders. This establishment is an embarrassment, waste of time and money. Do not bring your friends, family or colleagues here unless you wish to be embarrassed.
The reviews of people claiming they had fun here, probably arrived...
Read moreThe atmosphere at Scout is awesome! It’s a great place to hang at the bar, go bowling, play pool, or an assortment of other games. We didn’t get any food but we did order some drinks. The first bartender we had seemed very unfamiliar with the menu as we both had to repeat our drink order when she seemed confused. She then had to use a menu to know what to put in the drinks. The drinks turned out alright, nothing amazing but not bad. The staff was overall friendly but not the quickest. The biggest reason Thai isn’t 5 stars is that there is an undisclosed automatic 20% gratuity on the check. There was only two of us so it wasn’t for having a large group. I had already tipped cash so it would’ve been really nice to know they were going to force me to tip at the end also. The experience was definitely saved by Omar, he came up to us while playing pool and offered to set up bowling for us, asked if he could get us any more drinks or anything else. We came back the next morning (Sunday) for free bowling. We were the only customers there but the staff was very friendly and helpful. They didn’t hover but they made sure we had anything we needed. Overall I recommend trying out Scout but don’t expect super fast service and make sure you read your check to see if you want to add to the non-optional 20% gratuity on...
