The Statler Ballroom — Local services in Dallas

Me and three friends bought tickets for the State Fair of Texas themed photo pop-up "Fair Play" at the Statler ballroom and were extremely disappointed by everything. The pop-up displays and installations looked great but the Statler is a trash hotel. My husband and I were stopped by an employee and told that we couldn't use our camera at a photography event, which is absurd. The Statler has a no camera policy, so why host a pop-up event at all? Meanwhile, two nearby white women with a camera were not stopped or told anything. The State Fair food was offensively tragic. Complete waste of money. I used valet and was told it would cost $10 (the valet even wrote $10 on my ticket). When I picked my car up, they tried to charge me $15. There are better hotels, better events, better food, better energy in Dallas. Stay away from...

Someway somehow my 1st review I wrote here has disappeared! This is a nice place for a concert. I went to see the band The Mavericks here last weekend and they were awesome! However, the stifling heat was miserable!!! I've been to over 80 concerts and this was like being at 98 degree Starplex! Do something about the A/C please!!! Honestly, I'm shocked the band played as long as they did it was that hot! I had to wipe sweat off me...

Awesome! Just saw a great comedy show this past weekend and had a blast! After the show we went up to WaterProof and enjoyed a Winter wonderland themed rooftop party. I love seeing Dallas trying to create venues that provide real memorable experiences. Its a rarity these days. Keep bringing it on Statler. I'll be coming...
