If I could 0 stars I would. I was interested in attending church here for a while, and finally decided to come.

I took public transit to come here and it was cold and windy this past Sunday, hitting lows in the 20s. I wasn’t able to dress very formal thus and the second I walk up to the door, two security officers come up to me and ask me what I want.

Service is at 11am Sunday. I saw that on the website along with the order of ceremonies which is written on the website to last over an hour. It’s 11:23. I tell them there is service and I’d like to attend; they flat out tell me no it’s over. I told them I looked at the website and still they refused. I didn’t bother arguing.

I walked around because I might as well see the place since I made the trip. The sign at the front of the church said “Sunday worship 8:30, 10:00, 11:00.” I clearly understand now that I was refused in because they took my clothing to be one of the homeless. I’ve attached a picture of the board.

I am genuinely frustrated. You cannot preach the word of Christ and yet refuse an individual based on his clothes. You should be ashamed. Christ would never approve of this; the first believers were the beggars and the poor and yet the religion has now resorted to elitist...

Walked in, saw a dude in a crop top, and walked back out. It truly reminded me we are in the end times. Yes God says: come as you are. But if I was a pastor and you chose to come to the house of God like that, Id either offer you another shirt or tell you to come to the next sermon with respect to God in the house of God wearing something more appropriate. This mockery should not be tolerated. There were other red flags that I let go of, many of the members are not delivered by the slightest sense, letting me know,if a person has been coming here for years, and they are STILL not delivered, this is not a good congregation. Something's in the water. I even stupidly thought, since they are across the street from one of the most evil fraternities in the world, that they might of been a beacon of light being housed right next to it. Nope I was wrong, both of these houses worship the same false "god". True christians are not of this...

All I wanted to do is visit the garden chapel for a few minutes and take some pictures but caught quite a bit of flack from an uppity security guard. I didn't have much time but she flat could of cared less. She had to get permission from someone and stood behind her desk wasting my time. You couldn't hardly understand a word she mumbled behind a stupid mask. She tried to tell me that this was a school day and that kids were out there which was not the case. Next time I will just walk out there without any permission and then deal with security at that point. She probably thought I was one of the homeless wandering around the area. I explained again to her...

A warm and welcoming community and shepherds of a 168-year-old legacy, FPC is a cultural, spiritual, and historical landmark in downtown Dallas. Founders of The Stewpot ministry, strong advocates and supporters of Dallas' music and arts scene, and open and affirming of all LGBTQ+ persons, FPC strives to be ministers of peace, reconciliation, wonder, and justice.
