My English cousin and I parked in the heart of downtown without any knowledge of where to eat a late lunch on Halloween. Sloane's happened to be around the corner and had just opened for the day, so we stopped in to check it out. We were greeted by every staff member we came across and were seated immediately. The ambiance was fantastic: large windows allowed for a lot of natural light to flow in, their playlist was on-point, and we felt safe with the staff wearing masks and a bottle of sanitizer on the table. We ordered two non-alcoholic cocktails and our server (Ed) gave us a fantastic recommendation of a blueberry and mint drink. We ordered the meat and cheese board and the tartare to start and we couldn't stop dancing along with the flavors we were experiencing! The meat and cheese board is a MUST. We then ordered the short rib (awesome, but ask for the meat to be cooked a MR-M if you prefer) and they accommodated my cousin for the Prime Beef Burger he wanted because they happened to have the ingredients that day, which was especially nice of them! Top-notch burger, he said. We then (almost regretfully) order the Triple Chocolate Budino and the Apple Tarte Tatin-both were mouth watering! They were having live music on their patio later that evening, so we walked around to find a fire pit of sorts, tables and chairs, and a mic stand for the player later. I wish we could've stayed because their patio and location is amazing. We were very impressed by the entire experience and I cannot wait to go back!

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE from top to bottom. We were there to celebrate my brother's birthday on Tuesday, September 15th. When we arrived, the server's assistant greeted us with water and an elegant glass dispenser of hand sanitizer for the table! Our server, Janette, was EXTREMELY friendly and attentive throughout the night, as was the assistant. That hospitality extends throughout the staff. Even the manager was warm and friendly, greeting guests and serving entrees. For obvious reasons, I only dine on the patio, when I eat out nowadays. So, we opted for patio seating. The tables, chairs, and even the ground were spotless. We had the perfect table too–between a modern fire pit and a fountain. The ambiance created by the stylish outdoor lighting, downtown scenery, and evening air were GREAT. The food was delicious too! The star of the night though, was the thought they put into our dining experience. Everything reminded me of before the pandemic, when you could eat, relax, and enjoy your time without a care in the world... I know a lot of restaurants are struggling to stay open. But Sloane's Corner is definitely worth supporting, especially now. Thank you for a wonderful meal, and a terrific, stress-free night!

I’m so impressed with overall experience here that I would bring any of my family members or friends who visit dallas at any time! First, this restaurant had a great ambiance, rather a quiet and perfect place for a date night on Saturday/Sundays, and a very attentive service! We started with appetizers- had beef tartare and yellowtail crudo. Highly recommend both of the items since beef tartare just melts in your mouth with well seasoned, crunchy chips! And yellowtail crudo had a right amount of tang and also melts in your mouth. Then, we had short ribs, day's catch (i believe it was halibut) and pork chops for the main course. Definitely recommend the pork chops -perfectly seasoned with the right amount of crustiness on top and juicy inside and the apple chips complimented the dish perfectly. Short ribs and halibut were amazing too! And finished with the upside down apple pie with vanilla icecream which was defiinitely on top of my list as well! Just had a great great time with decently priced food. Thank you for such a happy food experience.

Unfortunately, this place served me quite possibly the worst meal I've ever had. But this lackluster experience didn't start with the food. When I walked in to get a table, I was asked my name, phone number, etc. Why are we needing to provide personal information to sit down and eat? I just wanted to sit and have lunch in a restaurant that was half empty, no reservation needed. Anyway, I politely declined giving my info. The menu is pricey and leaves much to be desired, but I was pushed for time. I ended up ordering the fish and chips with water. The water brought to the table was room temperature and tasted straight from the tap. I hope I don't get sick. The food came fairly quickly, which is what I hoped. The French fries (chips) were your basic French fries, nothing special. The fish was extremely greasy, heavily battered, and zero flavor. Both the fish and chips look like they were previously frozen. For the price, it was reasonable to expect better. I will not return and would never recommend. I also can't imagine how in the world this place got high reviews. People are either lying, getting paid, or both. Even glancing at other plates across the restaurant, everything looked subpar. To the restaurant management: If you do nothing else with this review, please take the fish and chips of the menu. I suspect you're not going to improve the quality of this dish so take it off the menu so no one else orders it and regrets it. And for goodness sake, provide cold, filtered water and STOP asking for personal...

My coworkers and I decided to have Sloan’s breakfast since they just started serving again and two of the group were excited to try their breakfast for the first time. For additional context, we work nearby and frequent their restaurant/ bar. We looked to order online and all three of us were receiving errors when submitting, so we called to let the restaurant know and ask if we could submit orders over the phone. They did not allow phone orders, so we took the time to go downstairs. We kindly explained the situation and although a few were kind / helpful, the manager treated us with disrespect / disbelief that their ordering system didn’t work. He told us that others were recently able to order, so he forced us to show him on our phones the error (this was the third time we typed in our order to have it not work). After he saw that in fact the website did not work, he stormed off. I do not feel that the manager handled this situation properly. We took additional time out of our day to eat at Sloan’s despite their online ordering issues and were met with accusations. The breakfast sandwich itself was tasty with crispy bacon, soft cooked scrambled eggs as well as soft bun and the barista was friendly when she made our drinks. Overall, the food was great (driving the 3 star review), but I probably won’t come back to Sloan’s for a while after...
