Rude and chaotic. We wanted to get breakfast around 10:30am, we figured it would be busy so we attempted to make a reservation so we could be seated in a timely manner. We discovered that the reservation option had been disabled. We arrived at the restaurant and was told it would be near a two hour wait, we were kind and understanding (even though itâs very odd that there would be a wait but no option to get on a wait list prior to physically showing up) We were a few minutes from the Dallas Museum of Art so we decided to kill time there. Around an hour later we were told our table was ready, we immediately stopped what we were doing and headed to the restaurant. (Keep in mind we paid fifteen dollars for this museum and didnât get to finish it due to inaccurate time frames) When we arrived back at the restaurant we were told we wouldnât be seated because we took thirteen minutes to arrive instead of five. We were told we would be seated next. I was not upset at the information but instead how i was spoken to. Who I assume to be the manager was EXTREMELY rude and aggressive to me and I didnât find it necessary. He refused to even give me a new estimate wait time because my friend was parking our car. When I asked questions he would just say âwe have rules, we donât seat incomplete parties.â I understand having rules but I saw no reason why I couldnât be given any Information just because the other person was walking toward the building and not inside the building. It was also a party of TWO and the second person was ON PROPERTY. It felt very deliberate. I was basically told to just wait in a corner indefinitely with no Information. I find it ridiculous that I can wait AN HOUR for their table but they canât wait thirteen minutes? Was I supposed to stand in the door way the entire time? Ridiculous. I would also like to state that there was at least ten empty tables, he simply could have sat us without any hassle. He also went out of his way to âconfrontâ me again and immediately assumed I had negative intent when talking to one of his (NICER) staff members. (I wasnât even complaining they asked if we had been helped) Letâs hope the food is good because the customer service, communication and...
Read moreMy friendâs birthday is on Friday so I let her choose a place to go eat before she heads out of town to celebrate. She chose YOLK. I wish she wouldnât have. She enjoyed her chicken and waffles and red velvet French toast and thatâs really all that mattered to me because itâs her birthday gift from me, but I ordered the steak and eggs and it was terrible. When the plate was sat on the table I could look at the steak tell it wasnât cooked properly. The outside was grey so I know it wasnât seared properly and if it wasnât seared properly then it couldnât have rested for the proper amount of time to achieve a proper medium rare steak. It looked boiled. I touched it to see if the internal temperature was correct and my finger sunk through the steak so I already knew it would be blue on the inside. I cut into it and I was right. It was blue. I asked my server Heather if I could switch my meal, she said I need to talk to a manager which I completely understand so it took him about 10 minutes to come over and when he did he proceeded to tell me that the steak was cooked to the proper temperature and thatâs how the do âtheirâ medium rare. I was thinkingâŚmedium rare is medium rare. There are no different kinds of medium rare. I was very confused by that statement. I told him that I am a Chef and I know what a proper medium rare steak looks like and itâs not this. He looked frustrated. I asked him if I could change my meal and he said yes with frustration. I ordered one of the 3 scrambled entrees and received it and was disappointed again. It was under seasoned, it was supposed to have chorizo in it, but I didnât taste any flavor at all. The potatoes were a minute away from being undercooked, but I definitely didnât send it back because I didnât want them to think I was looking for a free meal so I paid for a very underwhelming meal. I will never go back to YOLK because I wasnât satisfied with my meal or the way it was handled by the manager. My server Heather was nice though and she had great customer service. She was definitely the highlight...
Read moreI ordered through ubereats. The only reason I ordered yolk was because it was 800 feet away from my hotel . Which means there is no way I could receive cold food. The restaurant let my food sit for 59 mins before I received a driver . Common courtesy wouldâve noticed my food was sitting way longer than expected and to at least remake it. I understand drivers take longer than expected, but if youâre realizing my food is sitting longer than expected remake it. Why send me food that you KNOW HAD BEEN SITTING. I tried calling the restaurant to resolve the situation . There was no accountability, no offer to remake the food, no apology. Donât eat here.
UPDATE & response to the restaurantâs comment: Two meals for the price of one ? Why would I eat cold food and expect another meal to be made ? Common sense isnât always common , I would never call a restaurant and complain about something that Iâve already ate. The food was never eaten! I even explained that to who ever I talked to on the phone . Which is why I called to rectify the situation. Telling me I couldâve came to pick up food when your restaurant has the option for delivery is crazy and ignorant. No accountability, no apologies, itâs literally Hilarious. Keep better track of your Uber eats orders , Monitor the tables that was provided by Uber/doordash to see when drivers are arriving THEN BEGAN TO MAKE FOOD. Your cooking breakfast that literally takes no Longer than 10-15 mins. How cold you stomach sending out cold food that you KNOW has been sitting for a hour ? I order food almost everyday Iâve never had this experience. Most restaurants wouldâve be accommodating and understanding but I see this restaurant truly believe that they did nothing wrong . Very arrogant and argumentative over something so simple that couldâve been fixed. Lastly , how can a remake be made through Uber eats ? Iâm not new to this Iâm...
