New Review: Editing this review bc I went back with a friend and noticed a huge improvement! I love Crema, and this location definitely heeded the constructive criticism. They did charge a 15% service fee, which I thought reasonable, considering there isn’t much actual service. But this time, there was no awkward moment with the automatic service charge being slyly slipped in. Plus, the additional tip option wasn’t stuck on the screen and shoved in my face. I ordered the tuna poke bowl and an affogato for my after meal treat. The food was so fresh and delicious! The portion size was very good. However, the amount of actual tuna was a bit slight. I know this is a chain cafe, but I would recommend some additional salad dressing options. The affogato was really yummy and a perfect ending to my meal. I would now rate this cafe a 4.5. But there are no half stars . . . I think the main area of improvement centers around the cost/value. I recommend increasing tansparency about service fees and tipping, maintaining good portion sizes to balance out the higher-than-normal costs, and auditing the menu for opportunities to trim some small percentage off the overall price. (Again, I know this is a franchise. But still). My meal came to $29 and change with service fee and tax. I think this is a bit steep for a poke bowl and a coffee drink with almost no service at a cafe. So I’m giving them 4 stars, which is a huge leap from my previous 1 star review. Much much improved! Will def be going back weekly if they keep up the good work!
Old Review: Charged a $3 service fee without my knowledge or consent. The woman just put it on my bill, then averted her eye contact, and pointed to the screen for me to tip her on top of the service charge that she added to my bill. I asked her what the $3 charge was for, and she said in broken English, “it’s for me and my friend.” For her and her friend to ring up an order. Please! I told her that adding a charge without my knowledge or permission is wrong, remove the charge immediately, and that I would not be adding a tip. I I do not appreciate being SCAMMED out of my hard-earned money! Food portion was small. Will not be coming back to this...
Read moreVery demure location. Located at the base of the AV Marriott hotel, kind of away from the main Dania Pointe restaurants and shopping area but it's not a far walk at all to get there. But we got a bit lost looking for it at first. Great service that is very kind and attentive, even after you sit down to have your coffee or meal. Instagram type worthy walls to let your camera eat along with you. Really cool doors and clean bathrooms. There's an indoor and outdoor space. Going early, you'll have shade from the hotel so you can enjoy outdoor with nearby palm trees and good music coming from nearby speakers.
Food: we were recommended to check out the Pancakes Breakfast and the Feta Cheese and Tomato Scrambled eggs. Pancakes are comparable to Bake Shack, thick, fluffy in inside and nice crispy crunch on outside. Good eggs and bacon to accompany it. It was big enough for me to share with my little one as well since pancakes are a good portion size. For the Feta/Tomato scrambled eggs- they were pretty good, light and fluffy as well. It came with multi grain bread baguette pieces with butter/jam and it complemented nicely.
Drinks: Red, White, and Blue smoothie- which is coconut water, blueberry, and strawberry smoothie, it went down nicely with my meal and refreshing as well. My wife went with an affogato, which is like an espresso float. Also, tastes really good.
Nice modern chic place with plenty of space and seating. We're actually returning today (one day later) to try out their sandwiches and salads because they also look really good. And an Oreo pie that was in the bakery section looked...
Read moreCrema Gourmet is always a nice experience. Their vibe is chill and very cool cafe feel. They offer a variety of breakfast, lunch and drink options.
There are several Crema locations in the South Florida area and this one at Dania Pointe is one of their newest locations. This Crema is slightly hidden at Dania Pointe Shopping Plaza. It’s located in the back area next to the Spirit building and Avery Hotel.
There is plenty of seating inside and on the patio Crema is an order at the counter and they bring the food to you type of spot. But a bougie version because it can get pricey to eat here pending on what you get. They give you a number to put on your table so they can find you to deliver your food.
Jocelyn dropped off our food and she was very friendly and attentive. She asked if we needed anything else and would come back regularly to check on us or clean our dishes. Service was awesome!
I got the limited edition iced Strawberry Matcha Latte. It was very delicious! My daughter got the Lox Bagel and her friend got the Banana Chocolate Pancakes. They seemed to...
